What are some ways to plump up your face with makeup?

Hmm..not sure about the plump up part and it's meaning. But if you want color, try Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. You'll get coverage, and can add color and definition to your face without that caked on , fake look. I love the stuff. Very gentle on your face too. What are some ways to plump up your face with makeup?
what do you mean by ';plump up';?What are some ways to plump up your face with makeup?
Do you mean make yourself look fat?

You would have to get a face lift, blush the apples of your cheeks, clear away baggy eyes, and eat more.

  • What is a good makeup powder face?

I have just started my waitress job, and I've realized that working there you're face get oily so easily.

Do you guys know any good face powder that I can just get it at any drug store like CVS or Walgreen..etc..

Anything please? What is a good makeup powder face?
if you wear foundation you should use a dry base one such as a mousse, which is reccomended for oily skin. as a professional makeup artist i would be more than happy to answr any more of your questions! www.myspace.com/tlomakeup or myspace.com/titanictaraWhat is a good makeup powder face?
maybelline has a good one, and so does Covergirl and covergirls' have that good makeup smell. you know what i mean? i personally use covergirl myself, and it works great! and for oily faces, i think brushes work better than those pad things they give. =]
maybelline has great mineral powder and also the same with physicians formula. there's plenty of powders in those drug stores. but those are the two i suggest. OH! and l'oreal tru match powder is awesome along with their foundation too.
I like Loreal Paris Translucide Naturally Luminous Powder, which I bought at Bartell Drugstore. You can also buy it at Walgreens.
you're skin goes shiny because you're getting hot, honey.

it may be enough to use anti-shine paper. from UMA, for example.

or to wash your face now and then ;-)
I have no idea at all, because I do not put any make-up, even when I go out.
MAC products are great! i use the mac face powder foundation thing. it works really well and its really long lasting

Is there any face makeup that is inexpensive and really good.?

i want something light, inexpensive and isnt bad for ur skin.Is there any face makeup that is inexpensive and really good.?
Loreal True Match Foundation is an excellent, inexpensive foundation. It comes in 24 shades and 3 different undertones which makes it easier to find the shade that matches your skin the best. It also has a light, smooth texture that glides over even my dry skin. It offers medium coverage and in my opinion is comparable to many of the drug store brands I have tried including Makeup Forever HD, Prescriptives, and Lancome just to name a few. It's also oil-free so it won't give you acne.

I hope this helps! : )Is there any face makeup that is inexpensive and really good.?
I use Almay's 3-in-1 concealer for eyes, intense i-color mascara and eye liner and smart shade blush; i use covergirls aqua smoothers(it gose onto face as liquid and dries as a powder) and shimmer strips custom eye enhancing shadow and liner(its to create the smooky effect and there is three diffrent color schemes to choose one) for all about 20$
Bare Minerals is good, it is around $30 though, but worth it. Just test some out at the store to make sure that it matches your skin tone and it doesn't give you an allergic reaction, because I have heard that some people have reacted badly to it.

Mineral makeup is a lot better for your skin and gives nice, light coverage. Hope this helps :]
Cover Girl Simply Powder Foundation is great. It's about $5.99 at Target and comes in a cute black compact that's sturdy so it won't break. It gives the coverage of a foundation/concealer in a powder. Also, Maybelline Pure Stay is a good powder foundation as well, for about $6.99 at Target.
if their was wouldnt we all know it?

cheapo , inexpensive you'd have to pay about 30 dollars for foundation

to get something thats good, it just so happens mac cosmetics has stuff for 30 dollars :D
i use covergirl. i doesn't irritate my skin and it isn't to pricey it has that natural look to it too.(when you put it on) :)
maybelline dream matte liquid foundation and also maybelline mineral power foundations are good. [plus theyre affordable]
I use cover girl, and maybelline they both make me look natural and $8 isn't to pricy if i do say so myself...

nyx, elf brands are both good, and pixi is made by mac, they have it at target.

How good is mineral makeup for your face?

I remember how bare essentials was the first that began the hype. Now, there's a few different brands out. I have always wanted to try it out to even my skin tone but because I have an oily t-zone I'm afraid it'll only make that area breakout. I also live in a humid climate which gives me minor break outs.

    Have you ever tried it?

How well do you like it?How good is mineral makeup for your face?
Bare essentials is a hit or miss. You'll either like it or hate it to death. In my case the latter. It has this ingredient called bismuth oxychloride that will irritate and itch your skin like no other. I've a very sensitive skin and lemme tell you i was still scratching my skin after i'd stopped using bare minerals for about a couple of months. It causes you breakouts and omg i could just go on and on....... having said that, I've seen a lotta ppl who swear by it. So i guess if ur skin can tolerate bismuth then go for it..if not then u should skip it. I now use everyday minerals btw. It's the best mineral makeup ever. Also they give out free samples which is awesome unlike spending $50 on bare minerals starup kit (which i did :( and still regret it!) Good luck!!How good is mineral makeup for your face?
Mineral makeup is something wonderful that you can do for your skin if it is a true pure mineral makeup. I read the ingredients for so many brands and was surprised to find out that many contain other fillers and ingredients, and are not really true mineral cosmetics.

I have tried many brands and have really been impressed with kms mineral essentials. It's performance is outstanding, and has really outlasted the others I have tried when it comes to wear and coverage.
I've tried it and it covers up imperfections. But the mineral oil in it will clog your pores just like any foundation, cream or mineral.
I love my Bare Essentials, my only complaint is the last brush I bought isn't the quality I usually get. I should have sent it back when I noticed something was wrong.

I do want to try Sheer Cover, it sounds like it might be better. You never know until you try!
i like it! however i also have oily skin so about 2 times a day press a loose translucent powder over your face with a powder puff.
I love using kms mineral essentials. My skin has been in the best condition it has ever been, and I have tried just about everything out there.
    you and i both.

i switched a few months ago to bare minerals, will never wear another makeup again. i used to breakout because i live in florida and the humidity kept me oily and zitty...it helped so much! the mineral veil calms the oil and its so sheer that when i do get sweaty or hot it doesnt look cakey

people constantly tell me my skins beautiful and ask how i can get away with not wearing any makeup (little do they know i've invested in bare minerals!)

I LOVE IT! i reccomend it 100% you will not be disappointed/your skin will improve.

    go for it.

The cause of dark spots can be due to sun exposure. Are you using a sun protection cream SPF 15 or 30?? It's a must to protect your skin from sun exposure. To lighten the dark spots you can also use a fading cream. Go to www.skinscope.com and click on Theraderma Clinical Skincare, then click on anti-aging/serums, combination/dry skin type. The Fading Gel w/Kojic Acid or Alpha Quinone Liquid cream are both excellent products to even out your skintone. Scroll to the bottom of this page and take a look at the Sun Protection Cream SPF30. Email me with your order and I can give you free shipping and any discount that is offered on the website: lindahong@skinscope.com

i don't know but I'm having the same problem. sorry I guess that wasn't much help
Skin bleach, but try it on an inconspicuous area of your body first and make sure there is no reaction. Best of luck to you.
yes my dear, a good skin lightening cream will take care of your skin discoloration and even out your tone.. check out this nice $9 cream, it's used by most african american women -

Which face wash, night cream and face makeup are good to use on oily skin?

I like clinique's 3 step system.Which face wash, night cream and face makeup are good to use on oily skin?
If you have oily skin then using lots of products on it will only make the situation worse. I suffer with oily skin and I was told years ago that facial washes with detergents in them only make your sebacious glands produce more oil. A woman told me to get myself a small bottle of distilled water, and a small bottle of pure witch hazel and make up a mixrure of about 80% water and 20% witchhazel and keep it at room temperature. Just put some on cotton wool and use to clean your face morning and night. Almond oil is a great moisturiser for oily skin. You could buy all three ingredients for about 10 dollars in any pharmacy.

Oily skins don't need a night cream, don't bother buying one and for makeup mac studiofix stays on and is excellent for oily skin.Which face wash, night cream and face makeup are good to use on oily skin?
You will need an oil-balencing one..

these are usually found in acne-preventing washes, like Clean %26amp; Clear, but personally i find Neutrogina the best or Nivea Young oil balencing.

They are around 4:99, but they don't come with a makeup range.. It is uaully best to use powder and matte makeup on oily skin, as creams will slide off

  • I find that some places on my face grabs the makeup and is darker?

I put on my mostiurizer and then bare minerals, some places on my face seem to grab the makeup and shows darker spots on my face and do not brush out. What do I do to prevent this.I find that some places on my face grabs the makeup and is darker?
try using a make up primer.

    I like Laura Geller Spackle

Nars also has a good one

But smashbox might be better for you because its more tacky therefore will better grasp the makeupI find that some places on my face grabs the makeup and is darker?
I would suggest using a good facial scrub about once a week to sluff off the dead skin cells. Once you've done this, moisturize really well, and let it dry completely before applying your makeup. This should help.
Yes, a make-up primer is the perfect solution. It makes your foundation glide on evenly and stay all day. I use Velvet Skin Coat from DHC. Worth every penny! Many other brands make primers. Smashbox has one I know too.

Baby products to remove face makeup?

I dont have any thing else on hand and I need to remove my foundation ASAP. Is it okay to use baby shampoo or baby lotion?Baby products to remove face makeup?
baby shampoo would probably work, cause its supposed to be gentle on the eyes. just read the bottle.

if you use the lotion, dab it on a tissuee or toilet paper.Baby products to remove face makeup?
Baby shampoo is okay. I have washed my face with it before, and its really gentle on your skin.

Also, some people use baby wipes to remove makeup (which is not good for face makeup because it wont completely remove everything).
Use baby lotion. Run it all over your face, and gently on eyes, and then wipe of with cottan pads or tissue. Works amazing, really senstitive, and leaves skin as soft as a baby's butt.... :P
you should be fine. when i ran out of moisturizer i used baby lotion and it didnt ruin my face or anything. since its sensitive you should be fine using the shampoo. you will have to rub too much to use the baby lotion
every night i use baby oil and then i follow with a moisturizer to soak up the oil. it works better than any makeup remover product i have.
Baby oil is an excellent eye makeup remover. Use it all over your face and follow up with a mild, moisturized soap.
Baby products are awesome because they are so sensitive...you wont have any issues at all. and you will be smelling baby fresh!
    no baby oil is ok

How do I get rid of Paleness in my face without makeup.?

Im a redhead, so as you can imagine I have a pale complexion. It makes a massive difference in the way I look, for the worse. I am a Male so I definetly am not considering makeup lol. however, I will try other things to make my face look much less pale. any advice much appreciated. thanksHow do I get rid of Paleness in my face without makeup.?
you don't have to lay outside trying to get a tan to get browner. Just generally being outside a lot will help. You can also try a self tanner for your face, just make sure you avoid your eyebrows and wash your hands thouroughly afterwards. I've heard that Lancome Flash Bronzer Instant Bronze Glow for the face is a good one that will also make your face softer. (It smells great too). If your embarassed to buy it, you could ask a girl to buy it for you. Hope I helped! How do I get rid of Paleness in my face without makeup.?
The best make-up is self confidence! Consider yourself pale and interesting. I bet you look great in a trendy hat.

You could also try taking up regular aerobic exercise, such as swimming, which will raise your metabolic rate and give you a healthier look (and probably bigger muscles too if you do it seriously).
take vitamin d or go outside! go to the beach for a day im sure that will help. and this sounds really dumb but if you eat a lot of carrots your skin satrts to glow more and it might give you some color (seriously its true look it up)
Try a self tanner for face. Something you can't go wrong with like Johnson's holiday skin, but make sure you get one specifically for the face, avoid the brows and wash your hands afterwards
    fake tan, tinted moisturiser
take vitamin D supplements, drink carrot juice (but not too much or you go orange !) and sunbathe.

What is the most important thing you do to your face daily (makeup or otherwise) that makes you look prettier?

Good skincare. Wash am %26amp; pm moisturizer am %26amp; pm and a resurfacing peel weekly. I recommend Philosophy Microdelivery Peel and Hope in a Jar Moisturizer and Good ole Noxzema to wash your face.

Bare Minerals is the best foundation. It looks great and natural and feels awesome. Add a coat of mascara and some DuWop Lip Venom (my FAVE lip gloss) and presto! What is the most important thing you do to your face daily (makeup or otherwise) that makes you look prettier?
The most important thing you can do for your face daily is a great skin routine! Not only will it create the perfect, glowing complexion we all sought after to look healthy and beautiful, but it can greatly reduce the significance of any wrinkles and age spots you will face in the future. As well, acheiving healthy skin, can create the perfect canvas for applying all sorts of different makeup looks.

    Here are some tips:

    1) Wash your face with a gentle, oil-free cleanser such as Cetaphil ($12) to remove oil, dirt, and all sorts of other impurities.

    2) Apply a toner to your face with a cotton pad to refresh your skin and tighten up your pores

    3) Apply an oil-free moisturizer with spf sun protection to hydrate your skin and prevent unsightly wrinkles and brown spots in the future. This step will also create the perfect surface for you to put on any makeup if you need to.

*****Acheiving beautiful skin will require less makeup, and reveal your natural beauty, which so many are now realizing is the best kind of beauty ever. Once you have even, clear, hydrated skin, you can now concentrate on highlighting other features on your face, like your eyes or lips. ****

For a healthy glow, I love applying a sheer dusting of bronzer, and sweeping a nice soft pink blush along the apples of my cheeks. Then I apply some mascara to lengthen and curl my lashes, giving a subtle yet flirty look, and a pale pink lipgloss to enhance my smile.

These all make me look better, without looking like I tried too hardWhat is the most important thing you do to your face daily (makeup or otherwise) that makes you look prettier?
i wash my face with dove.

put on cetiphil lotion on my face.

    i use sephora liquid foundation.

    than two coats of mascara.

thats my 'usually' daily face treatment.
I alwaysd wash my face with water... i know water... But it works for me and it keeps my skin hydrated.

The other thing is if i have time for nothing also a swipe of mascara
I wash my face with Neutrogena Cream Cleanser. It makes my face look a ton fresher and gives me a better complexion.
The most important thing I do for my face, on a daily basis, is to cleanse it thoroughly twice: once in the morning and once at night. I never go to bed with a dirty face! First, I use a daily facial cloth like Olay's Anti-Aging facial clothes. These exfoliate dead skin cells from my face and prep it for cleansing. Then, I use a small amount of Kiehl's Rare Earth Oatmeal Milk facial cleanser. If my face feels extra dirty, I simply leave this cleanser on for about 15-30 seconds (it acts like a facial masque when left on for a bit). I use an eye cream and a facial moisturizer with SPF 25 or higher.

If my answer to your question was not twice-a-day facial cleansing, I would have to say that putting on an SPF 25 or higher every day is the BEST thing you can do for your face in the short and long-term.
eye shadow and masscara!! i can tlive w/ out those two!!!!!
i don't think girls should wear as much makeup as they do, or any at all. girls look SO beautiful without it and i just think that if girls didn't wear any they would realize how beautiful they are without it! sorry for not answering your question, but i just wanted to get that point across to you. =) good luck with the whole makeup thing though, haha.
A daily cleanse, tone, moisturize regime. I have been doing it for a year and rarely get blemishes any more (i get even less when using bare minerals, I've been doing that for 6 mos). I also scrub every 3 days and mask once or twice a week. I think a daily skin care routine with products formulated for your skin type is important to looking your best, no matter what makeup you use, if any.
I swear by thoroughly cleansing my face, pat drying, then putting on a very thin coat of vaseline. You will amazed how great your face feels in the morning.
    blush
    use clean %26amp; clear

wash ur face 2x per day

    it makes ur skin glow
Cleanse and moisturize every morning and night (before makeup in morning and {after wearing makeup all day} at night). Buy a day moisturizer (most likely contains SPF 15 or higher and is oil free) and a night moisturizer (more creamy and contains nutrients that will boost your skins moisture and help renew the skin overnight). Also be sure and exfoliate once or twice a week ** NEVER more than that or your skin will become red and irritated.**
Proper and thorough skin care. Do not slather on too much and be sure to take it all off before you sleep. Do not use any if you can.
make up to give my face a regular tone, then just lipstick.
wash it every day! it keeps your skin clear and fresh.

How to make your face thinner with makeup?

I have a round face and my eyes arent that big and are also round. How can I make my face look thinner with makeup?? How to make your face thinner with makeup?
Contour. Take a blush or a face powder (nothing shimmery though) that is just a bit darker than your natural skin tone, suck in your cheeks, and in the hollows of your cheeks, apply that powder with a blush brush. It should look like your cheekbones are casting a shadow on your cheeks. Just be careful with it, you don't want it to be noticeable. Good luck! How to make your face thinner with makeup?
It's not really possible to make your face look thinner as such, but there are a few make-up tricks to draw the eye away from any roundness.

Try a good bronzer, subtley dusted at the temples, cheekbones and around the jawline.

Or, try blusher: Swirl it across the apples of your cheeks (smiling helps to locate these), heading up towards the temples. Don't forget to blend any harsh lines.

Use a highlighter (Benefit's High Beam or something similar) on the highest point of your cheekbones (about half-an-inch outwards from your eye, going no further inwards on the cheek than where your pupil is). This will enhance your cheekbones and add definition to a round face.

To make your eyes more almond-shaped, try a liquid eyeliner (practice with a pencil first as it is tricky to begin with).

Draw a line that begins at the mid-point of your eye, as close to your lash-line as possible (you don't want an obvious point at where the eyeliner begins). Sweep the line smoothly across the lash-line, and finish about half a centimeter at the most past your eye. Use a generous coating of mascara, concentrating mainly on the lashes on the outer corners. Try not to line the bottom lids as this just makes round eyes look rounder.

  • How do i slim my face using makeup?

my face is round and I have a double chin. How do i slim my face using makeup?
    Quick Fix: Face-Slimming Makeup

By calling attention to your eyes, lips and cheekbones, you can significantly reduce the circumference of your face --- and create a slimmer overall appearance. Here's how the pros do it.

';Make your eyes look gigantic,'; says Valerie Sarnelle, creator of Valerie Beverly Hills cosmetics. ';The bigger and wider they appear, the slimmer the rest of your face gets,'; she says. False eyelashes applied to the outer corners of your eyes help, as does extra mascara (but not on lower lashes, as this can enclose the eyes).

Tip: Well-groomed brows add definition and interest to the center of your face and take the focus off the perimeter.

';Plump up your lower lip,'; recommends Paula Dorf, a New York City makeup artist. When your lips look small, the rest of your face looks larger by comparison. The best way to beef up your mouth is to dab a shimmery gloss in the middle of your lower lip (on top of a lip-tone lipstick or gloss), says Dorf.

Tip: Don't encircle your mouth with liner; it'll make your lips look smaller.

';Bring out the angles in your face,'; suggests celebrity makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Andersen. How? By highlighting the ';high points'; of your face (cheek and brow bones) using iridescent powder.

Tip: Use your regular blush and eye colors in the areas that recede, like the hollows of your cheeks and the creases of your eyes, to exaggerate the effects. How do i slim my face using makeup?

There's not much you can do.

You can loose weight, or as others have said, highlight your cheekbones. Use a blush or bronzer a few tones darker than your skin.

Here are some other tips to make your face look different:

If you have a wide forehead, apply bronzer, or a blush a few tones darker than your skin , along your hairline.

If you have closely set eyes, sweep bronzer up towards your temples to pull everything up and out.

Why is it that after I apply makeup, my face soon itches?

I have never had this problem before. I beleive it is because I don't normally go out into the sun as much. When I get near heat, that is when my face starts itching the most such as when I blow dry my hair. I have been using MAC makeup for a little over 4 years now and have not had this problem before. What do you think the cause of this is?Why is it that after I apply makeup, my face soon itches?
allergic reaction! get a different kind! Why is it that after I apply makeup, my face soon itches?
you might be having allergy to a certain chemical which is used in that product.try using another brand.try not to use cheep brand makeups coz your skin is sensitive.use herbal products.something that has aloe Vera in it.
    the chemicals that cause itching
I think you've had an allergic reaction to a chemical in that certain product. From now on, try using a hypo-allergenic makeup brand.
That's allergy. Try another product that's hypo- allergenic %26amp; dermatology tested. U may add the SPF of your sunscreen for sun protection too. Our skin changes %26amp; reacts differently as we mature.
Maybe the ingredients have changed thus causing a reaction? You want to speak to a consultant or consider an alternative brand such as Clinique (?)
Maybe you're allergic to the ingredients in the brand.
You may have sensitive skin, try using products that are less harsh on your skin. Your skin also changes with age x
While they could have changed the formulation and it's causing a reaction, you could just have dehydrated skin! Some make up can dry the skin out...and when it gets dry, it gets itchy. Try using a super hydrating moisturizer under your make up...or better yet...go make-up free for a couple days and use the moisturizer and see if that helps any. Mary Kay sells a great moisturizer...Intense Moisturizing Cream. It sells for $30, but any consultant would be happy to send you samples.
you are apparently now allergic to this product, try buying hyo allergenic make up
You may be alergic to that brand of make-up.

    Try the body shop brand.
i would talk to a dermatoligist or a beauty consultant. perhaps a mary kay consultant.

How important is it to shave hair off the face before applying makeup?

its kinda important. but not a life or death situation.

i'd def. not suggest shaving. try waxing instead. if u shave, then the hair will grow back thicker.

personally, im 15 and dont wax any face hairs except lip and fixing my brows.

w/ powder foundation, u dont have to.

but w/ liquid, it'd be better if u did. or try to apply it the way ur hair grows.

but that hair is to protect ur pores and stuff. i'd suggest not getting rid of it

    return the favor?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>How important is it to shave hair off the face before applying makeup?
It's not REALLY important but when you take the hair off your face generally the make up comes on smoother and more even

it depends on how much and how thick your hair is... if it is noticeable when you put your foundation on then maybe you should remove it.How important is it to shave hair off the face before applying makeup?
First you should never shave your face. I would recommend waxing or a depilatory (like nair of sally hansen), but yes hair removing is very important if you don't want a blotchy appearance

How can i refresh my face without using makeup?

I'm 15. i don't use makeup except mascara. I have acne, and i want to try to clean it up. However my mom doesn't want me to use makeup. How can i make my face look nice without using makeup? How can i refresh my face without using makeup?
There is no totally magic way of making acne go.

Simple way is wash your face four or five times a day, using a gentle soap.

Use acne creams- can get them real cheap at the local pharmacists.

    MAke sure you wear moisturiser.

And the most important is be confident.

Also please dont touch your spots, or even worse pick them or then you will ahve permanant scars. How can i refresh my face without using makeup?
    Go for a walk.

I'm not kidding, getting oxygen into your body and your blood flowing will give you a glowing complexion. Plus, exercise is a GREAT way to get toxins out of your body.

Aside from that, try drinking 2-4 cups of green tea daily. Green tea cleanses you from the inside out, and makes a great complexion.

You'll notice results in about 1-2 weeks, BUT they will be real and long-lasting, as opposed to cosmetic and temporary!
wash your face and use a mosturizer afterwards to look clean and well polished! it also gives you a natural glow =]
Wash with hot water and moisturise well with something like cetaphil. acne is a part of growing up - if anyone treats you differently because of it - they're not worth knowing!
evian facial mist.. it moisturizes and makes you glow too :)
    Have some fun and excercise.

    You will be refreshed.
    Rinse with water.

How to cover a red face with makeup?

okay, so i have a lot of redness on my nose, my cheeks, and around the temples of my eyes (so basically i feel like my whole face is red except my chin and forehead). how do i cover this?

what kinds of makeup do i use?

    how do i apply them?

i've already tried it on my own, but it wouldn't cover it. so maybe im doing something wrong

im totally new to makeup, so give me the info(:

thanks(:How to cover a red face with makeup?
Alright to start off I would suggest using a cover up, two very good kinds are MAC cover up, you can find that by going on to maccosmetics.com. Then the other concealer is by bear minerals. Either one works very well to cover up redness as well as any other imperfections.

I鈥檓 not really sure of what kind of look you want to go for with make- up so I would suggest looking up some celebrities who wear their make up like how you are wanting to then search how they do their make-up.

Another really good place to look for make how-to is You Tube. haha I know that sounds a little cheesy but their are some pretty good videos on their. And if I were you Id go to a local cosmetic store by you and ask one of the employees the store what some good products are as well as how to apply them and what would go best with you. It can all be a little over whelming at first but you get the hang of it at some point ;) haha.

I hope this helped. How to cover a red face with makeup?
You need a full coverage YELLOW based foundation and concealor as well. Do not use any foundation that has pink or red or orange underones to it. Bobbi brown makes good tones. I have red cheeks and I use a yellow concealer and liquid foundation to cover it then set it with powder. Then use a little bronzer as blush. I hate adding pink back in with blush. Go find a medium coverage yellow undertone foundTion at sephora and learn proper application
First off what is causing the redness? You may not want to put makeup on your face if you have a rash or problems with your skin. If it is just the complexion of your skin , find a good quality foundation such as cover girl and match your skin tone. apply it evenly over your face and dust with a matching powder. This should even out your skin unless the redness is really dark.
ha i had the same problem,

but what i found works is a green concealer.

yeah i know that sounds weird, putting a green color

on your face.. but it actually neutralizes the redness!

and afterwards you just put on a foundation of your

choice. i use everyday minerals green concealer and

    their foundations.

so if you want to try them out go to everydayminerals.com

    https://www.everydayminerals.com/index.p鈥?/a>

and try their free sample kit.

it comes with -3 sample foundations, a concealer, and a blush.

all you pay for is shipping!

*for your concealer i'd get their MINT concealer, it works really good, i just recently got my full sized kit and i love it!

--oh and btw the three foundations is so you can match your skin tone!
I have red skin around my cheeks and nose. I first use a tinted moisturizer (CG aqua smoothers), then concealer (covergirl), then foundation (dream matte mousse) and then another dab of concealer. I finish with an oil free finishing powder (jane oil free finishing powder @walgreens). It covers the redness pretty well.
There is a new mineral powder from Clinique specifically designed for redness from irritation and rosacea.
Use concealer that has a yellow undertone instead of a red undertone. With MAC products, that means you want an NC shade, even if your foundation color is NW. Other than that, everyone else gave great tips.
    1. foundation primer all over face

    2. spot concealer on the red areas only.

    3. very shear foundation all over face
green tinted concealer, then apply any makeup as usual.

  • How can I make stubble or beard growth on an actor's face using makeup?

Use a stipple sponge and very dark eye shadow. It helps to put a dark base under it, like a bronzer.

It can be stunningly effective; I just had a bunch of female actors playing men and some of them were quite convincing. How can I make stubble or beard growth on an actor's face using makeup?
Use a greasepaint that matches their hair color (or is close) and apply it with a natural sea sponge to get the texture-dab it or blot it all over, don't rub it in.How can I make stubble or beard growth on an actor's face using makeup?
get one of those brillo pads and put on a foundation that is about the same color as the person's hair with it. if thier hair is black , then use paint.
    eyeliner...lotsa dots
As a kid at Halloween, my mother rubbeda bunch of flesh tone make up very thick, where I wanted a beard and mustache, she then put coffee grounds in that area. I wish I had a picture to post, because it looked real!
Jfengle is correct, a stipple sponge is the best way. I was involved in a production of Man of La Mancha, and some of the guys just could not grow beards.
There are special sponges called ';stipple sponges.'; You just dab one of those in some dark makeup, and lightly touch it on the actor's face...very convincing stubble look. Be careful powdering, so as not to smear it.
Take a stipple sponge, (the black ones with little holes,) and find foundation close to the actors hair color. then stipple it over the desired area.

Do they do full make up or do they just apply something specific like eyeshadow or lipstick to make a sale? How much to get your face done @ the makeup counter in dillards?
As someone who works at a makeup counter, you should absolutely not plan to go get your makeup done without the thought in your head of at least purchasing $50.00 worth of makeup. If you only want eyeshadow, they may be more willing to throw something on you quickly. But when they're putting things on you, it takes away from their time they could be helping people who actually want to make a purchase. So out of courtesy, if you know you don't want anything.... do it yourself. How much to get your face done @ the makeup counter in dillards?

Does MAC Face makeup clog pores and cause breakouts?

Im just curious because i dont feel like my current makeup (Bare Escentuals) is doing anything for meDoes MAC Face makeup clog pores and cause breakouts?
it just depends on the person. a lot of people said mac makes em breakout but i dun breakout from mac. so u just gotta try out for a week and find outDoes MAC Face makeup clog pores and cause breakouts?
MAC does have a strong reputation for creating breakouts. Made with oils and other skin clogging irritants it's little wonder. Try a good mineral foundation with heavier coverage. There are plenty of better ones around than Bare Escentuals and by that I mean those that offer better longer coverage, better color selections and at lower prices.

Some that I've found to be excellent and you can shop with them and get sample sizes for little money are:

    Barefaced Minerals -

    Earthen Glow Minerals -

    Monave -

    U Glo Girl -

Of these my favorites are Barefaced minerals - Velvet Plush foundation www.Barefacedminerals.com

    and

Earthen Glow Minerals (Cover Me foundations) - www.earthenglowminerals.com
aww i love bare escentuals! makeupalley.com is wonderful for finding out things about makeup. I used to use MAC face makeup and it really makes you breakout like a week after using it, its bad! everyone ive talked to says the same thing.
MAC makeup is a bit too much for me as well...I love the coverage of their Studio Fix powder foundation but I can't use it...it makes my skin break out, too. I switched to The Body Shop's All In One Face Base and apply it with a large blush brush.
I've never had a problem with MAC before. It's my favorite makeup.

Wat color should i use for my face of makeup?

im 13 years old and i want to cover my face with make up. so it looks clear and smooth. my color is like a light tan. wat color of make up shouls i use. but i want it natural looking. noy like im going to some party or a dance or something.Wat color should i use for my face of makeup?
add some blusher to ur cheeks and a light lip gloss some mascara and a veery light eye shadow works for me and i am slighltly tanned and want a clear smooth look like you hope it worksWat color should i use for my face of makeup?
You're 13, if you put alot of makeup on now it clogs up the skin which could lead to further breakouts and makes your faces really really eww.

But if you want to use foundation and all that, mix a foundation to your shade with moisturiser. Use neutral tones for eyeshadow and like a light pink for the lips. Either use an apricot or light pink for the cheeks.
well in my oppinion 13 is a bit young to cover your face in makeup. have you considered using concealer? Oh well its not up to me to decide if you wear foundation or not lol. so i am going to help you anyway =]

my skin colour is a lightish tan as well so i suggest something around the light/medium colours. maybelline pure is an excellent foundation to use as it is 50% water, very natural, oil free and wont clog your pores. the colour i use with this foundation is light 4 and it blends perfectly with my skin. if it is too light for you then try the next colour up which is medium 1.

Most foundation has a pink or yellow undertone. you will notice this when you look at foundations, they either look yellow or pink. look at the colour of your vains on your wrist. if they are blue you are pink undertoned and if they are green you are yellow undertoned. people that are yellow undertoned are usually from a italian/greek/spanish/mexican descent. pale people are usually pink undertoned.

well i hope this information helped!

    good luck =]
i recommend bare minerals foundation by bare escentuals. it looks %26amp; feels natural, doesn't clog pores, covers well, and doesn't melt off. go to any ulta or sephora store, to get the perfect shade for your skin tone, and see how you like the make-up on your face, before you buy. it costs 25.00. but lasts about one year.
try true match by roreal test the one that matches your skin
Just go to the store and pick out a color that matches your skin color. You are supposed to rub it on the back of your hand to see how it looks.

What's the best makeup face brush for mineral foundation?

I recently bought Laura Mercier's mineral foundation but am looking for a face brush. Does anyone know if the LM $40 brush that's supposed to go with this powder is good quality? i've been using bare escentuals natural, soft brushes for 6 years, if you clean them regularly, they stay soft. any kabuki brush works with mineral powder foundation, try it out on you skin, before you buy, to make sure, they feel soft to you. What's the best makeup face brush for mineral foundation?
The professional brush kits at Bee-Luscious are really good. They ARE professional quality brushes. These are the ones I use and I think they are some of the highest quality brushes I have ever bought. Look up Bee-Luscious at www.beeroyalproducts.com.
I use mac's 182 kabuki brush or too faced kabuki brush!
Check out the brushes at Bee Luscious. I know it says they are not available till after the first of the month but I went ahead and ordered them and they came in like a week. They are awesome just like everything else I have gotten from them.

Does a sunscreen in face creams and makeup actually work throughout the day?

It's a common knowledge that you have to reapply your sunscreen every 2-3 hours for it to work. But if you apply a face cream with a spf only once under your makeup in the morning, how is it supposed to work whole day long? The same with the spf in makeup?Does a sunscreen in face creams and makeup actually work throughout the day?
I'm no scientist, but I can't imagine it working as effectively as real sunblock, of course. The SPF in make-up is usually 10-15, whereas conventional sunblocks are 45-50.. so right there you are losing a ton of effectiveness. You wouldn't really want to lay out on a beach all day in 10 SPF makeup and expect not to get burnt. If anything, I think it's more of a ';something's better than nothing'; thing. If you really are worried about it, try mixing a higher SPF sunblock in with the cream.

I also have to imagine that make-up in itself is blocking out at least some of the sun's damaging rays, I mean.. it's covering your face up, so that might actually help somewhat.

I think mostly what makes sunblock lose it's effectiveness throughout the day is splashing around in water, being exposed to the sun for prolonged amounts of time and laying out in a hot sun and sweating it off, however.. So in all reality, yes, I think a low SPF make-up foundation should last you throughout the day.. as long as your normal day-to-day activities don't include sweating or swimming..

These are really only speculations, but, figured I'd give your question a shot anyway. (:

  • Girls/ladies, Is pretty a face without makeup? or a face with make up?

Why do you put the mask on? You do not do it to attract other women so we must assume that you do it to make men look at you? Are you so insecure that you have to hide behind a mask? Is your face so bad that you are scared to show it? We (the fellers) will have to think that. What are we going to find once it comes of? HEEEEEEEEEEELPGirls/ladies, Is pretty a face without makeup? or a face with make up?
i think the natural look is the prettiest so without makeup.Girls/ladies, Is pretty a face without makeup? or a face with make up?
pen, to attract men it is sometimes necessary to put on a mask.

naturally without, is not always more beautiful...

for me personally, make up is a helper to hide little imperfection, but not a mask.

for a mask, I'm using too little of this stuff ;-)
without. i think i do look better with make up on but i have never used it as a mask, less is more, and i use it to enhance what i already have.

i dont wear make up every day and am very happy for people to see me au naturel! some women wear so much make up it is seriously scary . . .
Well personaly i prefer to wear less makeup,i will get dressed up thou when i go out with friends for a night out,but i dont wear makeup just for men to look at me! lol!..you have not got the slightest clue about women..obvioulsly!,some women are not that secure about themselves so they have to wear lot of makeup, its not because they want men to look at them!,they have self esteem issues,it does not surprise me with men coming out with comments like yours!
i prefer natural beauty personally but if i'm going to an evening formal function i might wear a little eye makeup.

i personally think that you are the one with issues about makeup, not women or other men. if you don't like it, don't date a girl who wears it, they don't all.
no offence but men are very superficial when it comes to dating.
well i wear make up and it has nothing to do with what people think....i have fairly patchy skin which i don't like so i cover it up it makes me feel and look better nothing to do with a mans opinon
please...we all know you got a stack of playboys full of women with makeup on next to your alarm clock and jar of vaseline
some women wear make up because it makes them feel better about them selves not to please men! I don't wear make up all the time, as I don't want to.
    1. Make up is not a mask.

    2. It makes girls feel good - but guys never really think of feelings

    3. Girls aren't exactly gonna look that much different without make up than they do with. Its not like their face will suddenly change, GOD.
For me I think that a truly pretty face is w/out make-up. I agree with you it's just a mask...and false advertising. (Lol.) But I hardly ever wear make-up. As far as I'm concerned you can think me beautiful or ugly I don't care cuz I can only be me and you can take it or leave it. Besides beauty really is only skin deep.
I think your a little obsessed with makeup. Get a grip.
Sam you really do have a twisted view of women yes I put make up on to feel nice and attractive mainly for my man not in the day but yes some nice perfume why not?

What's wrong in wanting to look your best I love to feel nice I like men finding me attractive boasts my confidence and when you've been knocked down a few times why shouldn't I?

This shouldn't be confused with over zealous behaviour I know how to dress and highlight my best features make the most of what I've got every woman should without feeling she's some brazen tart out to take men for everything they've got wrong Sam you are??
A little paint on the barn doors does some of us good. Because unfortunately nature wasn't as kind to us as others. Though I love and appreciate a fresh, pretty, face...alas I am not that fortunate.

And though I wash my face at night before beddy bye, my hubby still desires me every bit as much...and finds himself with a new woman every morning. A new, fresh woman with a little different look that he appreciates because he values a woman that puts forth a little effort for him.
I HAVE A HUSBAND WHO HATES ME WITH ALL THAT STUFF ON, INFACT I WEAR MASCARA AND TH ATS IT, I AM 33 AND I LOOK DAMN GOOD, IN FACT MY SON FRIEND SAID 'MICA, U HAVE A HOT MOM'; THEY ARE 8 BUT I HATE MAKEUP U ARE HIDING FROM SOMETHING IF U HAVE ALOT ON AND IT IS OUT OF STYLE REALLY AND I KNOW I ALSO HAVE A SISTER WHO IS DISRT. BUYER FOR ES-TEE LAUDER AND ITS BASIC MAKEUP LIP GLOSS AND MASCARA AND MAYBE A TINY BIT POWDER
we do it for ourselves, what makes u think its for u???anyway we dont really care what u think!!!I wouldnt date u in a million years,u arrogant!!!
Ok yes i agree gals do hide away with make up but only the ones who wear 7 tons of foundation on their face! I wear bronzer, lipgloss and mascara and thats it. I never wear foundation and i never wear lipstick. I wear less and thats it. I enhance what ive got and yes i like my skin looking bronzed/tanned as i have italian in me and i look better with fake tan than without. I also look better with make up so everyone says as without make up no1 recognises me so i will wear it!!
make up is just there and we use it cause its nice ok?
    yes a face is beautiful without makeup because she is natural. the beauty of a woman lies in her HEART%26gt;
i dont wear much anyways..to much m.u looks silly on me. but its not for the benefit of men i wear it..mainly to help me feel good about myself! im not one to not go bare face sumtimes with my bf.

How can I get a pale look w/o resorting to chalky/greasy makeup or face paint?

How do people like Amy Lee get their pale looks without resorting to face paint. I really want a pale/white face for Halloween, but I really don't want cake on face-paint. Help? How can I get a pale look w/o resorting to chalky/greasy makeup or face paint?
baby powder... you need something on your face to help it stick though, foundation (in a very pale color) or jojoba oil should do the trick, plus it won't make you break out.How can I get a pale look w/o resorting to chalky/greasy makeup or face paint?
i dust on the lightest powder i can find. ( like real makeup) Its pale and no greasy or overdone and it wont clogg my pores if i look for the right one.

this site really helps out i wanted the same look and Ive almost got it, really try any of these listed with the lemon juice they work.

or you can use a papaya soap or you can mix a little lime juice and some fresh mint and brush it on your skin leave it for 10-20 minutes then wash your skin with warm water or....

    just use the site =]
my tip is baby powder put some in a little dish and use a blush brush use a little then a little more until your happy with it dont get fustrated it might take a little practice until perfect:)
stay out of the sun and have the genes that let you have white skin...
well, a lot of people like amy lee are born with a naturally fair complexion (not just her face is light). I'm the same way, and I HAVE to stay out of the sun or else I go all red and blistery, even for just 20 minutes, teehee

but, in terms of make-up, get a LIGHT loose face powder, and maybe mix a little baby powder in with that, so it's not toooooo ghastly.
Some of us are born with milky pale skin like Amy Lee so its just Natural but if you have darker skin the only way you can get pale is by make up.... unless you wanna go to the Michael Jackson extreme?

This is like me asking how do I get dark skin (im pale) without tanning or makeup... impossible unless your born with it
I'm not sure about Amy Lee, but I know a lot of Goth types buy really light colored powder and foundation from Mac cosmetics. There are also companies like Manic Panic who make white foundation http://cgi.ebay.com/MANIC-PANIC-Dreamton鈥?/a> This stuff tends to look more like Halloween makeup, so you might want to go with the Mac (which was originally developed as a theatrical cosmetic line) although Mac is likely a bit more expensive.
Try Medusa's Makeup in Geisha. It will definitely not look chalky or greasy.
stay inside for like 3 months

a sweeping bang, or very very layerd and whispy around the face from the cheekbones up. try to keep it full and whispy down by your chin, you want to fill in that area. whether you scrunch or straighten around the chin it will keep it light and filled in. always accentuate your eyes. dont be afraid to use bold colors keeping with your skin tone. if your pale try staying away from pinks so much. because of your heart shaped face you should use more earthy tones ie: peaches and bronzes. stay away from light lipstick, or glossy and shimmery. try a natural listick thats as close to the natual shade of the inside of your lips. you want to attract the least amount possible to the bottom of your face if thats your problem. hope this helps.I have a heart shaped face what makeup and ahir styles would look good?

You should know what you are putting on your face if you want to protect your skin!!

Before any other make up, skin care routine is the most important!

I hope you're washing at 2-3times a day, using toners %26amp; moisturizers, and oil free sunblock for face use!

I would recommend for you to go to the mall and test out different kinds of foundation. Since everyone's skin is different, what works on me might not work for you. You should also find out what kind of skin type you are. People either have dry, combination (dry/oil t-zone), or oily skin.

You should buy your foundation according to your skin type.

There are foundations made for each skin type!

Also make sure you bring your own brush and hand sanitizer, b/c you do not wanna get skin infection from sharing brushes and you do not wanna break out by touching your skin with dirty hands!

As for me, I have combination skin, more towards the oil side, and also acne prone. So I always buy oil free make up.

I use Clinique's superfit foundation in Petal. I am very pale ( unlike my prof pic, b/c that was from last summer) and you should know that the superfit line foundation shades tend to be more on the darker side
Well your foundation might be doing a bad job because it is a bad brand of it might be because it is powder foundation.Powder foundation doesn't give you much coverage.I recommend you to use concealer for a good cover up.Concealer is used for people who need more coverage than others.Good luck with everything and I wish you the best of luck.Bye and I hope my answer helps.
I really really really like Stila makeup (liquid and powder. not sure what kind). (www.sephora.com)

the price is pretty steep but it is worth the money.

It gives amazing coverage, has spf (which is good for your skin), and does not get greasy/oily. I barely even break out, and sometimes I dont even take it off before sleep (lol i get too tired sometimes).

    I LOVE STILA%26lt;3

    (:
i use cover girl fondation liquid stuff. you can get it anywhere.

my tick is that you put alittle bit of body lotion into the fondation and put it on your face then. it looks more natural and doesnt seem caked on.
clean your face then put a moisturizer on (helps it last longer) then a liquid foundation (cover the red)

    hope this helps you :]
I love Origins and Bare Escentuals. It is good for sensitive skin.

What are primers, liquid foundations, powders & other face makeup used for & what's best for me?

What are these products best used for?

    Concealer

    Liquid Foundation

    Loose Powder

    Powder Foundation

    Pressed Powder

    Primer

    Translucent powder

And I need a good regimen using these products for:

    covering up pink/brown acne marks

    evening skin tone

lightweight, natural, %26amp; doesn't look like you're wearing a make up mask

    won't look cakey

and what is best for warm weather or for cold weather? Should I change my makeup routine during different climates? What are primers, liquid foundations, powders %26amp; other face makeup used for %26amp; what's best for me?
Primer: goes on under foundation to set the foundation and make it last longer. Concealer: waterproof concealer can go over an under foundation. Loose powder gets dusted over foundation to seal it in. Pressed powder is for touch ups on the go. Powder foundation is really just powder with more coverage than a normal pressed powder. Liquid foundation comes in varying types of coverage: sheer, translucent and full (different brands will say it differently) but sheer is just a slight covering which sets the canvas and will even out the skin a bit, translucent provides a little coverage for evening out the skin and camoflauging some blemishes however light will pass through it so it still looks natural, full coverage will cover everything and will look less natural.

For a lightweight natural look: you should start with a clear primer on top of your moisturizer. Laura Mercier and Smashbox make good ones. Over that you should try a translucent foundation. It's best to try them out yourself. Estee Lauder makes some good ones as well as Prescriptives. Then use some concealer to cover up blemishes. For serious ones, try using a green hued one under a normal one (green counteracts red). Then over it all, dust translucent powder.

Your skin regimen should change slightly in the winter to account for the dry air. You should use a more intense moisturizer.

Happy shopping. And makeup does not make you age prematurely, in fact a lot of face makeup has anti-aging ingredients - including sunscreen.

But it is good advice to stay healthy and hydrated. What are primers, liquid foundations, powders %26amp; other face makeup used for %26amp; what's best for me?
I say stay away from this stuff altogether.

    It makes you age prematurely.

Try to make your skin healthy, rather than covering up it's unhealthiness.

Drink lots and lots of water, eat right, stay fit, exfoliate, and moisturize.

That's what I do, and I never have to wear any face makeup.
A good, well trained skin care and skin color consultant will help you with all these questions; will let you try before you buy. And the best skin care and color companies will exchange their own products for different ones. This is all because the best companies are actually doing the best (medical science based) research and development, plus updating the training of their consultants and managers all the time- it matters at least as much to them as it does to their products' loyal customers.

Find a trained consultant who is physically located near you. Sounds like you need some advice for prepping the palette too. As I think you realize already, skin changes with climate changes, with good or not so good regimen of care, with the use of products appropriate/inappropriate to your individual face's needs. One size does not fit all. That girl in the drug store may or may not have excellent training, may or may not be there the next time you visit the store. Ask her.
concealor is used to cover up all the small things like acne and blackheads

liquid foundation and powder foundation r similar but powder foudation is way easier foundation makes u look like u have a more even skin color but it still covers up like concealor does

Primer is used to help keep the makeup from coming off thru out the day
1.conealer-covering flaws=blemishes, dark undereye cirles, puffiness

2.Liquid foundation-for normal/dry skin types. or specially designed for combination skin. its for evening out your skintone creating a base for your makeup, it goes on right after moisturizer bfore any other makeup(exception-mascara)

3.Loose powder-is if you don't want that heavy, caked on look. loose powder is lighter, more natural, doesn't feel suffocating and keeps your foundation in place

4.Powder foundation- for oily/combination skin. its to keep your skin looking matte. sometimes isn't even coverage.

5.Pressed powder- for on-the-go. if your getting shiny while your in the car or just out of your house than u keep a compact pressed powder to keep shine at bay

    6.primer-u don't need

7.translucent powder- good if your cant figure out your skintone. translucent means you can see your skin and skin color through it.

You need a foundation specially made for evening out skintone. concealer for covering flaws like acne marks. if you dont want cakey i suggest using a liquid foundation with a loose powder. for cold weather you dont want that fake tan look so keep it natural. rosy pink cheeks r in for winter. you could go heavier in winter than lighter and more sheer in summer.

    hope this helped!

You see a dermatologist. There are procedures to smooth out skin - dermabrasion, skin peels and collagen injections. How do you get rid of the craters on the skin of your face without makeup?
there is no quick answer, that I know of anyway.

Water, is wonderful. Keeping drinking that and your skin will seem like it's glowing.

Vitamins, K and E are also great. They kind of replenish your skin as well.

I have yet to find a good moisturizer that isn't oily, so, I can't help you with that.

yes! im about to get some lol

The Bare Minerals is the best. (In my opinion.)

How to apply powder makeup to face?

I use a mineral powder on my face but by the end of the day it always ends up looking uneven and blotchy. My skin isn't dry so I don't know what could be causing this..Any ideas??/Suggestions on how to prevent it?How to apply powder makeup to face?
If you just apply the powder on with out a primer or a moisturizer that is why it looks blotchy and uneven. My all time favorite primer is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. When you apply it on it makes your skin smooth and it doesn't clog your pores at all. So when you apply your powder foundation tap any loose foundation so you dont get the feeling you have makeup on. Alot of people usually apply it on wrong. So this is how you properly apply it on

Step 1. Cleanse and tone your skin

A foundation should always be applied on a clean and toned face. Use a mild cleanser appropriate for your skin and cleanse your face thoroughly to remove all the impurities and oils that have accumulated during the night. Tone your skin with a toner that suits your skin.

    Step 2. Apply moisturizer

The first step when applying makeup is the application of appropriate moisturizer according to your skin type. It will improve your skin quality and act as a protective layer to help trap the moisture in the skin and stop it from evaporation. It will eliminate any dry patches and will allow you to achieve a more even coverage. Apply the moisturizer and let it soak in at least 3 minutes before applying foundation.

    Step 3. Apply a concealer

Apply a concealer to hide any imperfections. To hide pimples or spots, use thick concealer that matches your skin tone. Apply it using a small makeup brush directly on the spot and blend slightly till it disappears.

    Step 4. Start the application

A powder foundation should always be applied with a makeup sponge or with a foundation brush, but never use your fingertips to apply it. If you want to achieve more coverage you should use a brush although a makeup sponge is also a great way to apply powder foundation.

Wipe the sponge onto the foundation and apply it over the entire face or only to any problem areas, usually the T-zone (nose, chin and forehead).

When using a brush to apply the powder foundation, swirl the brush to pick up the foundation. Tap the excess powder and brush onto your face with gentle, circular motions. Always apply the foundation in downward motions. S

Step 5. Blend the foundation carefully

It胁袀鈩 essential to blend the foundation carefully, especially if you apply a powder foundation. Start blending at your forehead and slowly spread all over your face. Move in circular motions, ensuring there are no patches and hard lines. Make sure the foundation suits your skin tone.

There is no need to set the foundation with a powder, otherwise your face may look too caked and unnatural.

Do the rest of your makeup as usual. How to apply powder makeup to face?
You can't just apply powder to your face, you have to use a moisturizer first.

Apply the moisturizer evently to your face and neck

If you use foundation then pour a little out- get a brush- yes a brush and dab it into the foundation then in small round circles apply the foundation all over your face and neck.

THen use another brush and dab it into your powder lightly, brush this all over your face and neck as well.

If you use foundation you need to use the powder to set the foundation.

If you DO NOT use foundation...just moisturize your face and then use a big fat brush and dab it into the powder then put it on your face in a circular motion. Start at your forhead and work your way down one side of your face then the other.

Also try changing the brand of powder or the colour...ask a beatician to match the powder to your skin
Wash face with clean and clear facial cleanser, moisturize with light cream and blot face with sheet of tissue paper to remove the excess globs of cream. Brush powder with fat makeup brush all over and then blot again with tissue to get excess powder off face. Apply rest of makeup and then go over face with a bronzer and voila.. you have clean and fresh glowing face
You should use a lotion first. This will help moisturize your skin. Another thing that could be causing this is you're not using a foundation primer. I suggest Smashbox PhotoFinish Primer. It works wonders, trust me! Do that and apply with a good brush and you should be fine.
I moisturize with Oil of Olay Complete to your face and to your neck, and let it set.

Then apply a face primer ~ your skin will feel so soft ~ let it set a minute and then apply your Mineral Makeup. This helps your makeup last longer.
Apply it using a big fluffy brush

You may be applying the brush to heavy so dip the brush into the powder and then lightly shake it so there isn't a too thick coat of powder of the brush

Then brush it all over your face

    x
Well Bare Minerals makes a product called Prime Time. It's applied very thinly across the whole face and basically gives you an even surface to work with. It also helps to hold the powder. Good Luck!
Moisturise first and make sure you use a brush not a pad, brushes ensure even coverage and a more natural look.
wash ur face first and then put the powder on.
    yea what she saiD^^

What is a good face makeup remover?

I recently tried a makeup removing cleanser and not only did it not work, but it also broke me out. Pond's worked, but broke me out. What is a good face makeup remover?
I dont have a specific brand, but what I would suggest is trying the make-up remover and cleanser all in one they have out (its pretty inexpensive). Find one thats good for blemishes..this way it shouldnt make you breakout. Removers and cleansers that are scented may be the culprit for the breakouts, so if you do have sensitive skin make sure its fragrance and oil free than maybe follow through with an astringent and moisturizer. I like Biore products, but everyones skin is different, you may have to try a few ones before you find one that suits your skin type. What is a good face makeup remover?
I use Avon's Effective Eye Make up remover. One of the only things I've ever used by them and it's cheap and works really, really well. Even with waterproof mascara. And, best of all - you can re-apply make up, if need be, right away.

As far as foundation removal, I love Dove's cleasning cloths. They lather well and are very soft. I've also used Oil of Olay, but it's a bit stiffer.

This is after almost 44 years of wearing and experimenting with lots and lots of make up (I still am a make up whore). I started at 14 and haven't stopped.

You can but Avon online. Not very 'fabulous' sounding like Mac, but it really, really works for eye make up.

I've used Mac's as well. Still prefer the above. Just becasue it costs more, does not always mean it's better as far as cosmetics go.
Johnsons Baby Lotion or any other reputable one. You should not break out as it is designed for a baby's delicate skin.

Rub generously in your skin gently, wipe off with cotton wool, wash face as normal.
    Try Clinique make-up remover.

It's fragrance free and is good for sensitive skin.

    Hope it helps :)
MAC wipes. seriously will be your best friend.

what do you suggest for good face makeup that makes your face look just a TAD tanner, but not like WAY over the top..and it stays on through out the day, and doesn't look bad?Face Makeup?

    Bare Minerals

Match your skin tone and then apply Warmth on top.

    Natural beauty at its best!
i love my mary kay bronzer. it's great. but if you want to get a fake tan that stays on... try mary kay sunless tanner. It's awesome!! If you're scared to try it, mix it half strength with regular moisturizer the first time. I recommend exfoliating before it and then really rubbing it in good on your face and neck. And it only costs 10.00 for a big tube!
I like Loreal Blessed bronzer. This is perfect for pale or fair skins and creates a natural glue and tan.
mineral based makeup which usually will have a bronzer will give you the look you want. True cosmetics and jane Iredale are the best two.
you could try useing a bronzer but you might need to reaply that so all i can say is that you should get a self tanner you know you can get the spray on tans that might work. hope i helped
powder bronzer works well, it gives you a radiant glow and stays on most of the day
bare minerals is a good brand, but can get kind of expensive
try a bronzer. cream of powder, i like the powder kind. just use a small amount at first, you can always add more. use a big blush brush and a light hand...

N.A.O is really good for that. You can put it on early in the morning and it will last all day through pretty much anything. It isn't cheap though because it's artist quality make up so if you are on a budget this probably isn't your solution. If you are interested you can buy it at http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.comWhats a good face makeup that doesnt get like messed up during the day?
Revlon Color Stay or Max Factor Lasting Performance. Both are excellent.
I like studio fix by mac and i put it on with a big face brush vs. the sponge that comes with it. .that way it isnt caked on your face. mac has this spray that you spray on your face after you apply your makeup and it makes it stay in place and last longer . its great. .

    check out the website: www.maccosmetics.com
There's this great product called Topsyne (I'm not 100% sure of the name.) ITs really hard to find. A friend recommended it to me and after much searching, I found it in like this korean beauty store. Its a medicated cream, so it makes your face smooth and moistured. Also, it makes ur face less oily, so when u put on ur foundation its not greasy so it doesn't get so screwed. And I suggest you use a dry or powder based foundation because liquid stuff suck.

Maybelline makes a great foundation called SuperStay Silky Foundation. It stays on all day without getting messed up! Give it a try. It will help moisturize your skin too, and it won't dry it out.
Estate Lauder foundations are great and will not wear off.
    Bare Minerals by Bear Essentials
Try mineral makeup like Bare Escentuals. It is great for all skin types, stays fresh all day, and provides a sunscreen to boot.
Bare Minerals great for covering blemishes and keeps the skin looking healthy and glowing without looking matted down...best part it puts minerals back into the skin so your skin will get better as you use.
    Bare minerals.
I use clinique but I use double face powder instead of liquid foundation. It works and looks nice. And it doesnt melt if its really hot outside.

Is there any way to even out the uneven tones on my face without makeup?

I never have wore makeup in my expect eyeliner and lip gloss, but my skin tone on my face is becoming uneven, is there any way at all to even it out without wearing makeup. Is there any way to even out the uneven tones on my face without makeup?
    Well, a toner.

Get a good one though, maybe from Clinique or an over the counter one.

Olay Regeneris works, but its fo people aorund their late 20's or 30's.

=)Is there any way to even out the uneven tones on my face without makeup?
Tinted moisturizer is very lightweight, it is basically moisturizer with just a hint of color. A good brand like mary kay will really brighten your skin tone and its not technically considered makeup. I suggest getting a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15 to prevent further unevenness in your skin. Mineral powder is make up but it is soo easy to use, weightless and good for your skin, and it will give you a flawless face. Even using a little bit has drastic effects. Maybe you could give that a try too?
I highly recommend the Bee Vibrant C skincare routine.

This package of 7 products will resurface and brighton your skin as it evens and tones.

You're really pretty and plus, you have high cheekbones. I would recommend very light make-up since you have good skin like a tinted moisturizer, and just a little bit of powder and blush. You look like one of those people that can pull off a smoky eye look so try that. Add with black eyeliner %26amp; mascara %26amp; gloss.

If you dye your hair, you could dye it lighter brown or if you want something drastically changed you could probably pull off blond.

Hope it helps! What should I be doing to for my face for makeup?

as for your hair dye it a little darker.
Your hair color is really pretty.

You could get some low lights just to make your hair pop even more but you have a beautiful warm brown color

And i really like your makeup it looks natural and really brings otu your pretty eyes.
i realllly like your makeup. maybe opt out of the eyeliner, and change to shimmery tan eyeshadow, and deeper (magenta plum darkish?) or clear lip color.
both look so sexys and hot just stay with your same routine of make up

    Greetings
You're pretty, your makeup looks fine (:

MABELINE!!! I absolutely LOVE IT! I've used it for over 10 years now.
try creams, like maybelline's dream matte moose
    Oil of olay
MAC concealer. It is 15.50 I believe, but I am really sorry that is is 50 cents over your budget.

What do i do to keep face makeup on all day?

I鈥檝e found that after I started using make-up, my face has cleared greatly and it provides great coverage for my break-outs: I use Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder (applied with the brush or a make up sponge, whichever one I鈥檓 in the mood for). For Blush, I use Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush (applied with the brush or a make up sponge, whichever one I鈥檓 in the mood for) and Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil as a finishing touch. I use Neutrogena Clean Lash Tint in black with Revlon Expert Effect Lash Curler. About once every two weeks I was my brushes with Studio Tools Brush Shampoo.

    Target:

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder: ~$13.00 individual, ~$20 in the 3 pack

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush: ~$12.00 individual, ~$20 in the 3 pack

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil: ~$13.00 individual, ~$20 in 3 the pack

    Neutrogena Clean Lash Tint: ~$9.00

    StudioTools Brush Shampoo: ~$?

    Dollar Tree:

    Triangle Make-up Sponges (24 pk.): ~$1.10

    Unknown:

Revlon Expert Effect Lash Curler: ~$5.00

I have oily skin, so here鈥檚 a tip if you do, too. Just carry around the Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil in a purse or backpack (for school or work or shopping or whatever) and apply it when you feel oily. It's 100% translucent, so it just eats the oil without looking chalky or heavy. What do i do to keep face makeup on all day?
I use to have the same problem. I have combination skin-dry some places oily others. I found a line of face cleanser and moisturizer that helped with that. Olay Total Effects. It helps keep oil away but moisturizes where dry so my skin is in balance.

THEN...I found some awesome makeup. It's called Revlon Color Stay. The foundation and powder don't look cakey at all and actually stay on all day so it still looks good after being at work all day. They have an entire line of Color stay makeup that's great.

AND...I found that giving each product put on the fave a few minutes to set before applying the next layer really helps. I cleans my face in the shower. Then when I get out and dry off I use a mild toner in the t-zone and do something else. Then after a few minutes I moisturize then go get dressed. Then I apply the foundation and blow dry my hair. Then I apply the powder....

Hope this helps. Olay Total Effects for skincare, Revlon Color Stay for makeup and also make sure to wait a few minutes between any product you apply on your face. I get all these products at Walmart and they last a really long time so don't get freaked out by the slightly higher prices. Good luck!
Try everyday minerals. They're better than bare minerals in my opinion because they don't use that chemical that bare minerals uses in their powders that cause a rash to form on your face. lol. And also because everyday minerals if far cheaper and you get a lot more product. It stay on forever, and it allows your pores to breathe!
Try using MAC's Fix +. It's a great refreshing spray that you put on after you apply your makeup so it sets it. I would also try using different foundation because sometimes if your skin is too oily, it'll slide off it's liquid foundation.
make sure you have moisturizer on before you put it on, it protects againts the make up and doesnt absorb so much into the skin so it will last longer, that and you can get a primer type thing, and make sure your skin is clean when you put it on
Bee Luscious Retexturizing face primer works like a charm!
    buy a primer.

I use the one by bare minerals.

  • How to brighten my face? Makeup advice?

I have a heart shaped face with Dark brown eyes and brown hair that goes a little past my shoulders. I have arched eyebrows and sort of long eyelashes. I'm 5'6 and Really pale and very slender. I think i'm alright looking, not ugly but i just want to brighten my appearance.

what are some things i could do to brighten my eyes or just my entire face? also, how do i get my eyelashes to really stand out and be long and beautiful? Like what brand? Good make up tips??

Thanks! How to brighten my face? Makeup advice?
First of all, you sound beautiful. To brighten your face you should just apply translucent powder lightly with your ring finger on your face to even and give your face a good, healthy, light to it. Then use a slightly shimmery powder and dust it lightly on the parts of your face that the sun would naturally hit. (i.e. your forehead, nose, your cheeks, and chin) This will make it look like your are standing in the sun in any light. Next apply a shiny powder right in the tear duct area of your eyelid (which will just really open your eyes and bring attention to them) For eyelashes a lengthening and lifting mascara is good. Try the one with the yellow brush of the black and red brush. Yor lips need nothing more than a swipe of sweetly colored pink gloss.

Great brands are Maybeline, Sephora, Revlon, Covergirl, and Bare Minerals. How to brighten my face? Makeup advice?

Do you know any good makeup, face wash, or primer that really does reduce LARGE PORES?

I know you cannot change pore size, but you can make them less visible. My pores are pretty big.

Do you know any products that REALLY work to help this problem.

    Please :)

thanksDo you know any good makeup, face wash, or primer that really does reduce LARGE PORES?
I have large pores and I use the Neutrogena ';Wave'; I swear by it and I use a light moisturizer in the morning then apply make-up (i use bare minerals)

I have a large pores and my skin get really shiny and red when my pores open.

Just wash your face everynight and 3 times in the morning.

explore exfoliation....Cheap and Effective at home it's under 2 bucks.

    Dove Soap(the regular white bar)

    Sugar

make a lather with a washcloth....

put some sugar in palms and start to gently scrub.

THAT make a huge difference.Do you know any good makeup, face wash, or primer that really does reduce LARGE PORES?
Adriana, I use aularale.com/7002's products and the skin care regimen has a clay masque that I use 2-3 x weekly (oily skin) that reduces pore size.
    Biore!

It works really good you can get it at cvs!

How do i prevent my face makeup from fading away ?

i put on makeup in the morning and by like the evening my face seems like i'm not wearing any makeup so is there anything i can do to prevent that? How do i prevent my face makeup from fading away ?
good question.... I'm trying to figure out that problem myselfHow do i prevent my face makeup from fading away ?
    Using a primer will help.

Primers are a gel or loyion like substance you put on right before your makeup. It keeps makeup on all day. MAC has really great primers if your willing to splurge. Sally Hansen, a drugstore brand, also has an illumining primer thats great and about 12 bucks. Using a primer will keep makeup on all day! Good Luck!
    do you mean cover up?

try a mousse foundation, it goes on smooth and it evens out your whole complexion .
Here is an easy answer to your question, dont wear it
    yesss.

get your self a good foundation primer.

    :)

it will make your foundation last all dayyy.

Whats is a good foundation, and good face makeup?

I've always seemed to have problems with my foundation, it took me ages to find one to stick too which was the dream matte mousse but i know it isnt really right for me, it looks thick and isnt very good coverage, and i want good coverage. I've seen people with really good face makeup, like a good foundation, good blusher etc. Anyone got any advice on a good looking foundation and things to go with it for the face, baring in mind im very pale and im not that experienced with making makeup look good !Whats is a good foundation, and good face makeup?
The best coverage foundation hands down is Revlon Colorstay i use it to cover my freckles and a few acne marks

i am also pale and my skin is oily/combination I use their lightest shade which is ivory

they made two different skin types normal/dry %26amp; oily/combination so pick which one matches your skin

after that i set it will a little powder: Clinique super double face powder -- this over the foundation is super coverage

a good blusher is maybelline in precious pink

and i use too faced lash injection mascara

for lips neutrogena's moisture shine gloss in flirt/or clinique lip tint in raspberry

good luckWhats is a good foundation, and good face makeup?
My absolute favorite foundation is Clinique City Base foundation. I have used it forever and never cease to be pleased with it. I love Clinique makeup in general but the foundation is the only thing I get; everything else I buy in a cheaper version! ;) I added the link for it in below but you can buy it at most department stores with makeup counters. Watch for Clinique bonus weeks when you can get freebies along with it!
Bare Escentuals!!! I absolutely love this stuff! You can get their stuff @ anyone of their boutiques but you can also get it at Sephora or QVC. If you get their face starter kit it'll come with 2 different shades so you can play around with what looks best. If you're very pale the Fair kit would probably work best for you. The kit also comes with brushes and what not.

For Christmas I got my mom (who never wore face makeup) the starter kit and she fell in love with it so much she recommened it to her friends.

Also the kit will come with a DVD walking you through the steps of how to get that perfect complextion
Well some of that depends on your skin type. Are you oily, dry, combination, or normal? Those people with nice looking foundation know which formula to pick for them. The makeup works with their skin, not against it. Sounds like yours is working against it.

For oily skin try mineral makeup. My favorites are Laura Mercier, youngblood and jane iredale. The palest of these is youngblood's pearl.

For dry skin go with something that has a silicone base to glide over dry spots. Max factor colour adapt is nice. There are also several higher end brands that feature moisturizing properties. Bobbi Brown makes a nice moisturizing one. You can also try a tinted moiturizer. Laura Mercier, Tarte, and bobbi brown all make nice ones.

For combo skin I'd go with the minerals.

For normal skin you can go with any of these because your skin won't be fighting it.

To find a natural blush shade look at the pink that appears on your ear. The tips of the ears have natural flush tone to them. Match your blush to that undertone and you'll look natural.

For lips pull your bottom lip out and look at the color in the inside of your lip. That's your perfect natural lip tone. You can go darker than that but try and stay in that color family.

Another great way to get natural looking makeup is to try and stay within your color family. People are normally warm or cool. Warm skin tone has yellow in it. The veins at the back of the wrists look more turqouise or green. They tan golden. Cool skintones have pink in them. Their veins on the back of their wrist look decidedly blue. They burn in the sun or tan to a ruddy red shade.

Some makeup companies are kind enough to split their colors into cools and warms for you. Covergirl does this. So does Three custom color.
I found an awesome product on an info-mercial one night. Its called Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals. It covers better than anything I've ever used... and its so light, I can't even feel it. It also has improved my complexion. I'll use it until I die!!!
Oh it takes lots of trial and error before you find the right one for you. Differences in individual skin types makes it hard to take a friends input on what to buy, then if you don't like it your stuck with a 10$ bottle of something you will never use again. Personally I use bare minerals.. and I haven't had any problems out of it at all. I'm also pale with combination skin, so it took me many years and lots of money spent to actually find one I loved. What I like best about it is you can use lots for that china doll look or just a little to give shear summertime coverage. It's not cheap but it works! And when you apply it its so forgiving, its not hard to put on at all, extremely difficult to make a mistake! I do a good exfoliation with sugar and olive oil a few nights a week that helps with keeping the dry spots from clumping with a powdered foundation, that is the only thing that I have had a problem with, but that is my skin and not the foundation. I think there are other types of powdered foundation on the market now so perhaps give one of them a shot and see how it works for you, best of luck! Wishing you beautiful skin!!! C.
I really like bare naturale by l'oreal for a quick make-up.

this is powdered mineral foundation you tap the brush .

I have medium/olive skin tone so I use nude beige if you are light skin they have lighter color and I also use soft rose in bare naturale.

and I use cover girl aqua make-up to for really good coverage ,but if you are out in the sun a lot I would use bare naturale.
If you want an excellent makeup, there is a company called Christi Mar. Its an all natural mineral makeup line. It won't make you break out or irritate your skin. You get great coverage. It comes in a pressed powder compact so you don't have to deal with messy loose powder. It makes your face look flawless without looking or feeling heavy on the skin. Its an awesome makeup. You can find it at www.christimarcosmetics.com
Mary Kay has the best line of cosmetics. Go to my 360 page for more info.
    I use covergirl.

For foundation: Classic Ivory CG SMOOTHERS. It is great! I am fair, too.

Powder: It's called (CLASSIC IVORY) ';Simply Powder Foundation';..it is a POWDER in a black compact. Stays and covers great!

    I use Estee Lauder blush, because my mom gave it to me. I use CG mascara, too...try ';Multiplying Mascara.';
