How can I wash my face (and get rid of makeup) without soap?

Every single cleanser/soap out there is irritating to my skin and until I get past this rosacea, I won't stop wearing makeup. Therefore, I was wondering if it's possible to get rid of makeup without soap or cleansers somehow? How can I wash my face (and get rid of makeup) without soap?
You can use oil to remove makeup. Put it on a tissue or cottonball and hold it to the area for a few seconds and gently wipe and it will come right off! Any type of oil, olive oil, baby oil, etc. You can also use Vaseline petroleum jelly, that also works. Your skin will not be irritated from the oil removal either. I hope this helps!! =)

P.S. This will work with waterproof products too.How can I wash my face (and get rid of makeup) without soap?
I use No7 from boots

its a moisturizer with added makeup remover.

It is gentle on the skin and hypo-allergenic

I love it!

  • What face makeup can I buy to make my face a bit shiny?

Luckily, I have good skin, I have no pimples, zits or any kinds of spots or scars on my face since I don't usually use foundation or any concealers. BUT due to that reason, sometimes my face is too boring and not stunning enough. When I go out I would like my face to look shiny like a porcelean doll and my face just looks normal. I just want to enhance the tone of my face to look a bit more glamourous. what kind of face makeup can i buy that makes my face shimmery but not too much looking like i use a lot of makeup since i dont? price is not an issue at all, please recommend something really good. thanks you. What face makeup can I buy to make my face a bit shiny?
Use a kind of cream thats got lots of moisturizer in it. Mary Kay formula 1 is got that. IF you aren't allergic to mineral oil. %26amp; do not apply a finishing coat of powder. Also you could use a heavy moisturizer on before you a apply their makeup. What face makeup can I buy to make my face a bit shiny?
I have something that makes skin shiny and moisturizes it but it's not makeup..it's called Bio Oil you can buy it at CVS pharmacy or any other drugstore, it's an orange looking oil and it works GREAT for my face :]

What are some good face products for newcomers to makeup?

I am barely starting makeup and I need something LIGHT and non oily for my face. I was thinking of tinted moisturizers and pressed powder. I have combination skin and I just need some product recommendations please! oh and please tell me inexpensive products like drugstore brands. What are some good face products for newcomers to makeup?
Neutrogena is drugstore but it's a little more expensive. They have good tinted moisturizers that have really high SPF, which is what you should be wearing anyways. You could try the ';Healthy Defense'; one, it's about $12.What are some good face products for newcomers to makeup?
Since you are new to the makeup world, my best advice is stay away from the extremely cheap stuff.

First you need to control the oily skin before any makeup goes on. I use Pepino cleanser followed by Manzanillo toner. After you wash you pat dry your face with a clean towel. Then apply toner and allow to air dry.

I use Savila base foundation for oily skin. All of these products you can find them at Coonobabe. So check them out. hope this helps you.

try st. ives make up wash and the apricot scrub, theyre great and cheap and smell good

Non-irritating face cleanser and eye makeup remover in one?

Hi there - I am trying to find an all-in-one product to remove eye makeup and cleanse the face that is gentle, non-irritating to the eyes and does not contain harmful ingredients (sodium laureth, parabens). I have used the Olay face cloths - which are great - but they have some ingredients I'd rather not use and I don't think they are biodegradable (?). Does anyone know of an oil-free product that meets above criteria and is either in a liquid form or biodegradable cloths?

Thanks.Non-irritating face cleanser and eye makeup remover in one?
Simple do a good range. Oddly enough I find the very best thing for make up removal is actually Johnson %26amp; Johnson Baby Wipes - don't know about bio-degradable, but the ingredients are kind and gentle to skin (after all, they are for babies!) take off even waterproof mascara and leave your skin feeling lush and smelling pretty, too.Non-irritating face cleanser and eye makeup remover in one?
I'm using L'oreal gentle eye make up remover (dermo expertise - suitable for sensitive eyes, it does contain sodium laureth though..
Lancome Paris...pure focus (greenish turpuois bottle) Its exactly wat you need n i guaranteed you'll love it..Good luck hun

Can your face get sunburnt with makeup on?

What about if the makeup has no SPF?Can your face get sunburnt with makeup on?
YES! Trust me. I know from experience. Try to get a makeup with at least spf15. A lot of foundations have that now.

But if you can't, there are plenty of moisturizers that you can use prior to makeup that have spf in them. For example, I use Olay complete all day moisture lotion with spf15.Can your face get sunburnt with makeup on?
I'm pretty sure you can still get sunburned even with makeup on.

The higher the SPF, the better.

Remember, even on cloudy days, it only covers about 20-40% of the UV Rays, so it's better if you were sunscreen to prevent any skin damage or cancer.
Yes. Any woman who's ever had to drive for more than an hour during a sunny day can verify this.

Most brands of foundations and moisturizers come with SPF now, and the ones with SPF aren't much more expensive. There's really no reason to buy make up that doesn't have SPF in it.
Of course! the spf is the make up would be the only thing protecting you from the harmful UVA and UVB rays. I strongly recommend using make up or a lotion with SPF at least 15.

    please help my Q: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>

I would suggest getting a few make-up brushes to work with as well. Start with something cheap from the drug store.

If you really get into this and want more tools or paint colors and mediums safe for skin a good company to purchase makeup from is ben nye. They make stage make-up and you can get it at most costume stores.

Check out a stage make-up book by from the library, it will give you some application tips. The one by Richard Corson is a pretty good standard.

hello. i have a lot of red and brown spots on my face from acne and i wish to conceal it b/c i'm going out with my girls this week. i never used makeup before. what can i buy/use and what do i do? please helpHow can i conceal red spots on face from acne with makeup? never used makeup before?
go to the mall and have a makeover done to conceal them....that way you will know what products work for you...not all products work for everyoneHow can i conceal red spots on face from acne with makeup? never used makeup before?
maybelline mineral power powder foundation works for me
You should buy a concealer. I find cream concealers easier to blend than the liquid ones. Try the Clean and Clear concealer which has salicylic acid in them (helps treat pimples)

How do i hide my makeup on my face?

    I NEED to wear foundation.

I have very visible acne scars on both my cheeks and chin and my face looks really baaaad without foundation.

I'm 15 and i have very bad skin so i wear maybelline mineral powder foundation.

The problem is i'm on some acne prescription cream which dries out my skin like crazy as if i just got a chemical peel. %26amp; whenever i wear powder it looks really obvious because of the COLORED FLAKES!

How do i hide the makeup on my face?

Thanks a lottt!!How do i hide my makeup on my face?
Moisturize your face. Tell your dermatologist that it dries out your skin. How do i hide my makeup on my face?
Make sure you have a good moisturizer to put on before your make up. You might want to consider just dropping the foundation until your skin is healed though. The foundation caking up on your skin is going to look worse than acne scars showing. :-/

You could consider switching to a liquid foundation and adding some moisturizer in it to make it go on less cakey.
It not a great idea to put makeup on ur skin if its already in bad condition....get it healthy before you start clogging your pores with make-up. If its dry and peeling I suggest a moisturizer and weekly face mask that focuses on extra dry skin. Once your skin is healthy it will take to the make-up better.
Well that sucks. Sorry but you can't really hide makeup, unless you take it off. Ask your doctor for a perscription mosturizer cause ussually they have thoose for bad acne, cause my friend had a problem like that, and she got a perscription mosturizer.
dude same here, and oddly enough i found that straight up like after sun aloe is an awesome moisterizer for like all the time, and it dries faster than anything. and as far as the scars, ask your doctor about RetinA micro, it worked for me
you neeed to get a foundation that matches your skin tone and yes it will cover up the scars so get a better foundation the makeup is to hide the imperfections you cant hide the makeup
What I do is put mositerizer on my face first then

I have liquid fondation and it put it on and pat it in with fingers

Doesnt look cakey just looks new a fresh.
Simple. Moisturize your face then use a hydrating liquid foundation instead of powder.
get a cream named aveno exzema and it totally moisturizes your face and also neutrogena products work!

dont mess your face up anymore with make-up!!

How do I make my face look good without putting makeup?

I want to make my face look nice without putting on it makeup, tell me how so I can look nice without makeup? How do I make my face look good without putting makeup?
wash your face everyday. moisturize it. that`ll reduce the acne and make your face less greasy. pluck your eyebrows so they give your face a nice shape. and put a smile on ! (:How do I make my face look good without putting makeup?
make facial masks for your face made out of yougert or fresh fruits out of your kitchen ...
the most important is to keep your skin as heathy as possible, eat right, drink plenty of water, exercise, clean and moisturize regularly with products specifically for your skin type.

well manicured eyebrows really frame your eyes and shows them off.

same for your lips you want to keep them well moisturized with a lip balm or tinted gloss.

maybe a little tinted moisturizer for your face if you need to cover any redness.
You need to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables as well as drink lots of water and get enough sleep at night. All of that affects your skin, hair and nails. Also, a good cleanser, astringent and moisturizer helps bring out your best face.
Make sure your skin is clean and well taken care of. Take care so that your eyebrows are shaped for your face and not too thickor too thin. Moisturize your skin for a healthy glow.

and a little vaseline on your lips for shine (not technically makeup!)
Keep your face clean and fresh and smile. Smiling makes everyone look better.
Use a tinted moisturizer like Cover girl.
make sure your skin is flawless and your teeth are white. you can also make sure your eyebrows are shaped up nicely. i know because it used to be against my religion to wear make up.

you may just be one of those people who look better without makeup anyway.

Don't use any products with SD Alcohol. They usually put it into acne products but it is really bad for your skin. It strips away your skins natural ph balance and makes it really dry which irritates blemishes. Then your body produces more oil because your skin is dry which causes more blemishes. Sunshine for blemishes

Unprotected exposure to the sun (without sunscreen) can help to heal blemishes and stimulate production of vitamin D in the skin. However, limit your exposure to 2-4 times a week for no longer than 15 minutes. Choose a time before 10:30 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m., when the sun's rays are not as strong. Note: Excessive sun exposure can cause long-term damage to the skin, which can result in skin cancer. Avoid any prolonged exposure to sunlight.

    Care Tips

路Acne can also be caused by fluctuating hormones, stress, certain medications, food allergies and a diet high in fat. Determine if your outbreak is due to one of these factors and use the night gel for quick acne relief.

路To prevent further aggravation of your existing pimples, keep your hands scrupulously clean and away from your face. Resist the urge to squeeze or pick at acne, which could further inflame an outbreak and result in permanent scarring or pitting. Other basic tips are keeping your hair clean and away from your face; and sanitizing your telephone daily to remove bacteria that can help promote acne infection on your jaw-line.

路Many commercial care products for oily skin contain isopropyl alcohol, benzoyl peroxide and acetone, all of which excessively strip the skin surface oil. In addition, these products can dehydrate the skin, which, in turn causes the skin to produce even more oil to make up for the deficit.

    Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has an anesthetic benefit without numbness; it is anti-bacterial, killing bacteria after only 20 seconds exposure; it is a natural fungicide; it causes the necrotic tissue to slough and heals without scarring in just a couple of days; it penetrates into the deeper tissues, down into the connective tissue and muscles; it is a natural antiseptic; it is an effective solvent and therefore a natural cleanser, able to dissolve stains and resins.

Tea tree oil helps to prevent infection in minor cuts, wounds, abrasions, athlete's foot, jock itch, yeast infections, minor burns, sunburn, insect bites, stinging nettles, chicken pox, herpes lesions, bleeding gums, canker sores, gingivitis, strep throat, mosquito repellent, strengthen the immune system, muscle aches and pains, bronchitis, shingles.... the list is almost endless!

Because tea tree oil kills viruses, bacteria and fungi, it can heal internal and external infections. It is safe to use undiluted on the most sensitive and delicate parts of the body.

Acne is a tremendously embarrassing and burdensome problem. It is easy to feel that you don't have control over your breakouts. But the fact is, you do. Now, your first response may be to assume that I'm going to recommend you see your dermatologist. Well, think again. Natural remedies can be just as effective and medications. Possibly more powerful. Sometimes, all your body needs is the right nutritional balance and proper skin care. Here are some easy things you can start doing today to help you heal your acne. You should notice a difference in about 4 weeks.

路Apply a honey mask to your face once or twice a week - Honey has antibacterial properties so it is great for disinfecting and healing minor blemishes. It is also gentle on sensitive skin.

路Wash twice a day with acne soap - You should wash your face twice a day with a sulfur based soap designed for acne. Once when you first wake up in the morning and then, right before you go to bed at night. Be extremely gentle to your skin when washing - do not scrub or use any sort of rough cloth. Overwashing your skin will actually stimulate your sebaceous glands to produce more sebum, thus increasing your acne.

路Keep your hair off your face - If you have long hair or bangs, pull your hair off your face. Your hair contains oils as well, and will contribute to your breakouts. You铆ll also want to wash your hair everyday and after workouts

路Take a potent multi-vitamin - Acne can be a sign that something is wrong on the inside. Your skin depends on nutrition. It is a vital organ that is usually neglected. If your body is not receiving the right nutrition, it will fight back. One common way it will rebel is to produce excessive sebum, clogging pores, and reducing the ability for your skin to heal and fight bacteria.

路Include chromium in your diet - Chromium is well known for weight loss diets. But it is also excellent for healing infections on the skin. Taking a chromium supplement once a day will help heal your pimples quickly and prevent future breakouts.

路Eat carrots for beta-carotene (Vitamin A) - Vitamin A strengthens the protective tissue of the skin and actually prevents acne. It helps reduce sebum production. This vitamin is essential for the maintenance and repair of the tissue which the skin and mucous membranes are made of. Vitamin A is also a powerful antioxidant needed to rid your body of toxins. Did you know that a deficiency in vitamin A can actually cause acne?

路Avoid wearing makeup - Leaving makeup products on your skin only contributes to clogging your pores, causing more pimples and blackheads. If you feel you must wear makeup, be sure it is water-based.

路Drink 8 glasses of water - Drinking water is essential for clean skin and your overall health. Water is essential for carrying waste material out of your body... and is quite possibly flare-ups

路Do not pick or squeeze your blackheads and pimples - As tempting as it may be, do not squeeze, scratch, rub or touch your pimples and blackheads. Do any of these actions, actually increases the sebum production. Plus, when you squeeze, you are actually rupturing the membranes below your skin, causing infection and sebum to spread underneath your skin. The result is more pimples.

路Wash your pillow case every other day - Your face lays on your pillow case every day. Your pillow case absorbs the oils from your skin and reapplies the dirt and oil. Thus causing breakouts. Keep your sheets and pillow cases clean.

路Eat foods rich in zinc - Zinc is an antibacterial agent and a necessary element in the oil-producing glands of the skin. A diet low in zinc can actually cause acne breakouts.

How 8 Glasses of Water a Day Can Keep Acne Away

Drinking water is essential for clean skin and your overall health. Water is essential for carrying waste material out of your body... and is quite possibly the single most important contributor to healing and preventing acne flare-ups.

How much water should you be drinking every day? Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water a day for beautiful skin.

Your body is made up of 70 percent water. Water is literally your body's life force. It is involved in nearly every bodily process, including digestion, absorption, circulation and excretion.

Water is also the primary transporter of nutrients throughout your body. If not enough water is consumed, toxins can build up causing breakouts. Water flushes these toxins out.

Without adequate water, we would poison ourselves with our own metabolic wastes. Your kidneys remove waste products that must be dissolved by water. So, by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, you are flushing out the toxins that would normally escape through the pores of your skin... thus preventing acne breakouts.

Your kidneys cannot function properly without enough water. When they do not work to capacity, some of the load is dumped onto your liver.

One of your liver's primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy for your body. But, if your liver has to do some of the kidney's work, it cannot work at full capacity. A liver that is not performing at its best can worsen acne because it cannot break down and clear excess hormones from your body.

Water helps maintain proper muscle tone, by giving muscles their natural ability to contract and by preventing dehydration. Shrinking cells are buoyed by water which plumps your skin and leaves it clear, healthy and resilient.

    More important information about water

Water is also extremely important in losing weight and keeping it off. Water suppresses the appetite and helps your body metabolize stored fat.

Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits.

Drinking 8 glasses of water a day can also eliminate water retention. Sodium may be a cause of water retention. Water flushes the sodium out of your system.

Water can help relieve constipation. When your body gets too little water, it siphons what it needs from internal sources. The colon is one primary source. The result is constipation. But if you drink enough water, normal bowel function returns. So, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.

Your body will not function properly without enough water and cannot rid itself of wastes and toxins. Drinking water is essential for clear, healthy skin.

How do you keep your face looking fresh while wearing makeup?

After wearing makeup for a while, and sweating(first period gym) you can see ever line of makeup I have on my face. Like in some spots, you'll see a glob of makeup, and then next to it none. I have to wear makeup to cover up my acne,

but are there anyways to keep your face looking fresh, without reapplying the makeup?

I think I read in CoverGirl about a product you apply to your face that makes it look fresh, but I can't remember the name

Thanks :)How do you keep your face looking fresh while wearing makeup?
it's a good idea to trade your foundation for an oil free tinted moisturiser on these days as it won't 'melt', and apply spot stick to the specific acne spots rather than the general area...

also make sure your makeup is 'set' in the morning by applying a powder and if you can afford it wearing a primer underneath your foundation (if you decide to wear it) will help stop the melting mess of makeup, too!

also, if you do wear foundation try to get one that's oil free, really light and/or skin correcting.

is you apply a primer under your foundation and loose powder over it this should help and of course you will have cleansed and toned and moisturised before all this if you are wearing the correct makeup for your skin it should all stay in place
just dont cake it on-- wear maybelline poreless perfection it is really good and it stays on for a long time like 4 hours and just put a light dust of powder on top of that and just make sure you rub in your make up good
Mineral makeup is a excellent option for oily or sweaty skin. Looks very natural and stays on for hours. Another option is the revlon colorstay line.
    Mineral make up!

    Also don't cake it on!

  • Makeup help! How can i get my face to look better without makeup?

I cant wear makeup. Im not alergic to it or anything like that i just cant wear it for a while so I need some tips on how i can look better and maybe even look like i kinda have makeup on without actually wearing it. Any ideas?Makeup help! How can i get my face to look better without makeup?
Use an exfolliating scrub designed for daily use and very gently rub it around your face for one minute and rinse. That will take away the dead skin and give you a natural glow. Then use an astringent with witch hazel and glycolic acid to shrink your pores (clean and clear cooling pore toner is great) After that, use a moisturizer with an spf and antioxident vitamins to protect your face from getting any sunburn or splotches and the vitamins will even out the natural skin tone.

Here's a cool trick for eyelashes; hold a metal eyelash curler under your hairdryer for about 10 seconds then curl your lashes at the base and again in the middle. This will lift them up and make your eyes look bigger and more awake. And use a moisturizing lip balm because it will subtly plump up your lips and leave them slightly glossy (I love Burts Bees replenishing pomegranite)Makeup help! How can i get my face to look better without makeup?
How about wearing a lotion with a little self tanner.. clean your face religiously and moisturize...
well if you don't want anything, then use a natural toner like witch hazel at night so your complexion looks good. And for pop up zits get a spot treatment. I don't wear foundation cept for under my eyes cause I have genetic dark circles. During the day I do that put on some mascara and a little blush. No foundation makes you look so much better and you can't see all the pores. Like I said just make sure that you take care of your skin so your face will look good. Also try using the clean and clear mornign burst moisturizing. Works wonders
Make sure your skin is as clear as humanly possible.

Pinch your cheeks, if you're old-fashioned.
Use a tinted moisturizer. You've be covered from the sun rays as well as an even skin tone while not actually wearing makeup.

My 16 yr old daughter sprays hair spray on her face to make her makeup stay. Does that really work?

I told her not to do that cause I think it was cause pimples. My 16 yr old daughter sprays hair spray on her face to make her makeup stay. Does that really work?
As a make up artist, we have our own industry approved make up fixatives that do cost an arm and a leg and unfortuntely, I have to buy these.

I use to use hairspray too when I was about that age. It does work and it does not cause pimples, but because of the alcohol, it can be extremely drying to the skin, causing it to be itchy, especially in the winter. What I like to use it a tonner or witchazel instead, pored into an empty spray bottle. It serves two purposes; sets the make up and evens out the skin tone. Water works also if she is using water based make up, but not as much as tonner or witchhazel. My 16 yr old daughter sprays hair spray on her face to make her makeup stay. Does that really work?
Yes and no. This is one of those ';quick fixes'; we hear from those beauty gurus. While it is true that the hair spray will make makeup stay on longer, it is for the wrong reasons.

First off, when you use hairspray, there is a high amount of alcohol in the product. When you spray it on your face, the alcohol strips away the natural oils in your face. This may make makeup stay on longer, but also aids in the creation of acne pimples.

We all know that sweat and natural oils are for cleaning our body so if she strips away that, you are at higher risk of infecting your pores.

Second off, with all the bonding agents, tacky gels, and paraben preservatives, skin has no chance of breathing and is at high risk of certain types of infection. Parabens, found in most hair products, have been shown to cause cancer. This is certainly nothing you would like to have on your face due to the high risk of it.

If she is wants a good spray to use that makes makeup stay on longer, I would suggest to get Mario Badescu's Facial Spray with aloe, herbs, and rose water. This has no chemicals that could irritate skin, yet it sets makeup and helps it stay on longer.

    http://www.mariobadescu.com/productDetail.asp?catId=1%26amp;productid=152
That's horrible. Does she know what she's doing to her skin?

It can cause worse than severe acne!

But it's most definitely NOT the way to do it. Use a great primer.

I'm not one to usually say this, but maybe she should go out on a limb and buy an expensive accurate primer? Or do some research on good (cheap?) primers. Read reviews and ask around.

    Best of luck! :)

And try to get her to stop! That HAS to be one of the most terrible things you can do to your delicate skin.
yes it causes serious acne.. its SO bad for her skin. she's better off using a primer underneath her makeup. i did that wen i was younger %26amp; since my mom is a dermatologist when i told her i was putting hairspray on my face she freaked out lol %26amp; no it doesnt work
she shouldn't do that, you're right in telling her that.

the skin on your face is sensitive and it causes clogged pores which lead to pimples and skin irritation.

hair spray is made for just that, hair only.
She need to stop that, hair spray is for hair only. She is damaging her skin and sooner or later she will see the effect of it! She needs to use a higher quality make up!
yes it does work! hair spray works to keep tight things! celebrities use it on their face for red carpet! also in runways they use it after makeup!

also if you have cellulities on your body! it make's it look less!
No, but that is rather dumb. She should use primer. Pretty much that will only make her face sticky, oily and smelling like chemicals.
That can cause skin problems - irritation, clogged pores, and just plain uncomfortableness in her face.
It works. But not very well. She would do better with a professional product. no pimples should appear befcause of the spray.
Her skin will be irritated, but it does work a little. She should try using Jaqua makeup seal by Benefit instead.
that is disgusting isn't her face sticky what is she thinking
Wow that is dangerous. She should use a toner like the Aveda Sensitive Skin Toner to set her make up. http://www.aveda.com
i don't think that's gonna work.. if she wants make up to stay, better use a primer
It works, but it's not good for her.
i hear it does if you spray it on first...

Can people tan with makeup on their face?

Can i tan through my face makeup?

Im going to start going tanning but i wear pretty thick/heavy power foundation. as well as spf 15 moisturizer under it. i have pretty bad acne so i dont really want to go out in public without my makeup on..or be at the tanning salon without my makeup.

am i going to be able to get a good tan on my face with the makeup on? or not?

and if i cant get a tan with the makeup then does anyone have any advice?

:) thank you!Can i tan through my face makeup?
In my personal history I never used to get tan with my face makeup still on, I don't think it's possible to. I NEVER wanted to go out in public without foundation on because i also had acne. I would usually go to the tanning place with my foundation on and then once I got into the little tanning room I would wipe it all off with a make-up wipe and then re apply it once I was done tanning so I still got a tan on my face. I just put a make-up wipe %26amp; all my foundation in my purse. Also (i don't know how old you are or if you've tried this but) I started using a birth control pill for my acne called Ortho-Tricyclen and it has completely cleared up my acne. I used to have it pretty bad until about the 2nd month of using birth control! Just a suggestion if you haven't tried it ! =]Can i tan through my face makeup?
please PLEASE don't go to a tanning salon sweetie! they are so bad for your skin and give you such an increased risk of developing skin cancer it is not worth it. Either fake tan or put on a heap of sunscreen and tan yourself in the natural sunlight in your yard (that way you wont need to wear makeup because you'll be at home). Tanning with sunscreen on does work. Sunscreen doesn't prevent you getting a tan it just stops the harmful rays from the sun damaging your skin however i would not recommend you sit outside and tan for hours in the hottest part of the day even if you are wearing sunscreen.
If you can grin and bear going to the tanning bed without make up on that would help. Having no-make up on your face while in the tanning bed will make your face tan. From personal experience I've never had bad acne but whenever I did have a few zits and layed in the tanning bed with no make up it actually helped clear it up.
I suggest fake tan or go to a salon and getting it done. You may not be able to wear make up before or for a little while after it's done but it can get a even coverage when done correctly and you won't put yourself in the risk of getting cancers from the UV rays or from tanning beds.
No you probably wont get a tan.

I would suggest bringing some baby wipes with you and wash your makeup off when you get in the tanning bed room. Then just bring the makeup with you and re apply when your done tanning.
well first of all wear you make up to there and make sure you bring it in yur bag aswel and when you get there while your waiting around wash it off and after you tan thngy is complete go into the bathroom and put it on again.

What is the best face primer to keep your makeup looking fresh all day?

What is the best primer to keep your face makeup looking fresh all day?

    Something under 20$

i tryed the mac one and didn't like it. What is the best face primer to keep your makeup looking fresh all day?
Try the Boot's Matifying Primer if you have OILY SKIN. It works to keep your skin at bay with oilyness.

Try the Revlon face primer if you have ANY TYPE OF SKIN want to just keep your makeup looking soft.

Make sure when you do use primer to use the minimal amount. Just make sure you coat your face lightly with the primer and then apply your makeup shortly after. What is the best face primer to keep your makeup looking fresh all day?
Urban Decay primer is really good. :)

And I like to use Clean%26amp;Clear oil absorbing sheets to get the excess oil off my face.

Less excess oil = prettier, less shiny, less caky face.

It gets rid of your oil without getting rid of your makeup.

Just lightly pat that stuff on your face and its godo :)
Revlon has a foundation primer that I've been trying out for a while and I actually kinda like it. It's definitely worth a try. Good luck!
None of the ones under 20 did anything for me. Your skin deserves the best, invest in a great primer. Clarins!
Pore Perfecting Primer from Bee Luscious!!!!!

Look this one up. You'll be glad you did. I know I am!

How to not have your makeup run down your face?

Seriously, I can only wear it if I'm going to a 2hrs ceremony, like a church or something. Right after I have to wash my whole face and then reapply. Should I just wash my face every 2-3hrs or should I buy better makeup? I'm Afro-Canadian, oily skin and I love eyeshadow! How to not have your makeup run down your face?
OK it seem like you have really oily skin, so try and buy products which say oil-free!

    L'Oreal

    Maxfactor

    Covergirl

All the names above test their cosmetics cruely on animals! How to not have your makeup run down your face?
Try Revlon's Color Stay I believe it is called. It lasts about 12 hrs with a light dusting of powder. If you have oily skin, try a good skin care regime, wash, moisturizer, and toner. Yes you really do need a moisturizer w/oily skin too! If you try the mineral foundations just know, they tend to look flat and one color unless you buy bronzers or several shades to blend into them. Also they make your eyes look crepey as you get older. Too much powder in the eye area pools in the winkles. I guess it depends also on how much money and time you want to invest! Good luck!
you could go to a beutician in a department store and ask them

they'll match your skin tone, type of skin oily dry etc and what coverage you want -medium,light etc

then its up to you they'll help try different brands out and show you then you can pick witch one you like the most

    =)good luck

    hope thi was helpfull
Along with makeing sure you have a good skin care regimen for oily skin, you should consider using an oil free all natural mineral makeup.

My daughter and I use kms mineral essentials. She has very oily skin, and this makeup contains kaolin clay, which is a great oil absorber. She wears the foundation and the mineral veil (which is like a finishing powder) and she rarely has to re-apply it. We get great wear with this makeup. It is advertised as water/sweatproof and it has stood that test with the both of us. Even if you sweat, it stays put.

You can find kms on the web, and I believe they sell their products and kits on ebay as well. Good luck to you.
u seriously need to buy a better quality makeup! it is going to ruin ur face if you continue to use itttt!!

and yes. oily skin absorb makeup faster than everyone else. Yet those with oily skins don't wash their face to reapply makeup. And yeh, buy a better skincare products that are specially made for oily skin.

this should solve your problem ;)

    good luck!
buy a better quality make up...there is an obvious problem with the one you are using now
    just dont wear it

What's a great coverage makeup that leaves you face looking really clean and flawless?

I use Bare Minerals but I don't like the fact that it leaves my skin looking powdery!

...also what's the difference on matte finish, powder, and all that stuff? What's a great coverage makeup that leaves you face looking really clean and flawless?
use a good tinted moisturizer with spf and use a mineral powder over it..

jane mineral powder works well or the mosiac wheel colour by N.Y.C..

and then use a concealer and bronzers for a sun kiss look..

a bit of blush and u r good to go..

remember to choose a colour that is closest to match ur skin colour or else it will look really fake..

matte finish thingy, r a bit expensive but a really good product to get flawless skin.. What's a great coverage makeup that leaves you face looking really clean and flawless?
You should definitely use Mark. foundations and powders. They blend well into skin and give you that ';airbrushed'; look. It never has a cakey or powdery look and is inexpensive. You can get it here: http://llombard.mymarkstore.com

    Good luck!!
try bee luscious liquid minerals. they have samples and you will be glad you tried it.

Stay healthy! It sound simple, but few people actually do what they need to do to accomplish that. And one of the results of doing that turns out to be a natural glow, without makeup.

Here is what you need to do:

Drink enough water, daily. That's done by dividing your weight by 2, then drinking that many ounces of water a day.

Eat healthy food -no soda, no fast food, low fat (o trans fat,), 4 to 7 servings a day of vegetables, 2 to 4 servings of fruit a day.

Get enough exercise for your age and health category -see your doctor to determine that.
    really good sex.
    1) Drink Lots Of Water

2)When you wake up in the morning splash cold water on your face.Evens out your skin tone.
scrub and mosturise daily and drink lots of water
    Tanning
Just eat foods that are good for your skin. Things like a wide range of fruits and veggies. Also variety of nuts. Try to minimise junk food. Wear a hat and sunscreen when outdoors too to prevent uneven skin tone and sunburn.

How can i conceal red spots on face from acne with makeup? never used makeup before?

hello. i have a lot of red and brown spots on my face from acne and i wish to conceal it b/c i'm going out with my girls this week. i never used makeup before. what can i buy/use and what do i do? please helpHow can i conceal red spots on face from acne with makeup? never used makeup before?
    I love answering this Q!

My favorite concealer is TruBlend, from CoverGirl. It looks exactly like my skin tone.

Once you find your ';TruShade';, put a small dot of product on the spot itself using an eyeliner brush, and gently blend outward.

If you have multiple spots, use a foundation that is closest to your skin color. If you can't find one right on, go with the darker one. Blend completely at the jaw line until no line is visible. And don't cake your face in the stuff, apply minimally where necessary. USE FOUNDATION ONLY ON CLUMPS OF SPOTS. If there are lone spots, use concealer. How can i conceal red spots on face from acne with makeup? never used makeup before?
since you have acne its really not good to put any make up on your face to cover it. most likely it will irrate it. i had acne and i hated it so i wanted to cover it up just like you, it just made it all red and itchy.. but if you are willing to take that risk. buy some foundation. get a foundation that matches your skin tone to cover it up.. good luck =D

Can you do permanent makeup on your whole face?

Not just on your lips or eyes, but I mean the whole face. My problem is that my neck is darker than my face since I've had a chemical peel before. So I wanna know if there is a way to do like foundation permanent makeup on your whole face. Any help would be great. Can you do permanent makeup on your whole face?
I doubt that they are able to do that......

It would be extremely uncomfortable and it would take a long time not to mention that it will most likely look weird.

There are other alternatives like a tinted moisturiser ....... this is alot better than cosmetic tattooing or if you want something more permanent then look at getting some sun although it could cause pigmentation if you're prune to getting freckles.

Either way having a lighter face is fine, not everyone has the same colour all over.

Chi Chi x.Can you do permanent makeup on your whole face?
Why would you want it? There would be times when you would hate it...want to get ride of it...not like it that way any longer. It would probably be freaky. Suppose you discovered that your permanent makeup had a serious flaw on one side of your face? Didn't match the other side?

Things like this are not natural.
What about one of those sunless tanners, to gets the shades close.
No, sorry. There isn't a way. I am getting a chemical peel. Maybe I shouldn't if it will make my face lighter. Oh well, my face is already quite a bit lighter, I don't like my face to be in the sun. Anyway you might want to talk to a derm about your problem. Ask if there is a way to fix it if you are worried about it.

How do you use makeup to masculinize your face?

Well my face is fairly feminine and I want to masculinize it. I already cover up spots with concealer so I don't see what the big deal is about guys using makeup to look better. I mean, actors have been doing itfor decades. Anyway, how can I masculinize my face with make up in a way people won't be able to tell I'm wearing it?How do you use makeup to masculinize your face?
Only use sunscreen to not get skin cancerHow do you use makeup to masculinize your face?
The question itself is a contradiction. I don't think there is a way to use makeup as a man and not ';de-masculinize'; your face.

I would instead suggest that you try not to look so done up. This is just a guess but I assume you use gel or some other product in your hair, you most likely accessorize with jewelery and spend a lot of time deciding what to wear.

I am not saying these are bad things just that they are not inherently manly. You sound metro. If that is your thing, cool. Go with it. You want to look more manly, I would say to tone down on the metro stuff.

If you can, maybe grow some facial hair. Otherwise, you just have to wait it out my friend. Age can add masculinity to your appearance more than any cosmetic alteration.

  • How can my eye makeup work with my face?

I have dirty blonde hair with some unnatural warmth (hair dye) and fair/medium cool skin. I'm frustrated because my makeup always seems at a disconnect with my green eyes.

I want them to look clear and not smudged or runny, but black eyeliner always seems to ring my eyes (even if I put it at the outer corners only) and not blend in. I would use the eye liner to line the top of your eyes. and use some gold or bronze eye shadow to give a more a natural look

I've been using bare minerals ,but i dont recommend it. its got bismuth in it %26amp; makes all those claims. Plus you only get a little bit of some of some stuff.

Depends what kind of skin you have - dry, oily, combination. What kind of coverage are you looking for? Are you looking for an anti-aging or lifting and firming formulation? Looking for something to give your skin a more illuminated look? So many questions, I cannot provide a good answer. Try checking out this clinique page http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a> and seeing what is out there. What kind of face makeup would be good for my skin im 40 years old?
Makeup--regardless of age--depends on your skin texture.

    - If you have age spots or sun spots then I would suggest Dermablend

    - You should try Bare Escentuals (it has a more matte finish)

    - I would stay with more neutral shades of eye shadow and avoid glitter

    - Try a foundation that has anti-aging products as well as coverage

The overall look I would go for would be good skin, simple eye makeup and a lip color that is flattering. Too much make up might seem like you're trying too hard to look young.
Bare Minerals is great for women in their 40's and above. It smooths out the surface of the skin and has SPF in it along with vitamins and botanicals.

    Here's the website http://www.bareminerals.com
I'm 49 years old (and blessed by good genes, thanks mom and grandma, so I look like I'm in my 30's) and I use Bare Escentuals only. I started using BE two years ago, and I will never use anything else. It's the only make-up I've tried (and I've tried alot) that actually delivers on it's promises. I've got oily skin and when I wear BE I do not have a problem with oil. And its so nice to have my skin feel like I'm not wearing any makeup, instead of glopping on liquid foundation that does little to control oil (even ones that say they do) and having it literally melt off during the day. BE lasts all day and you will look as good at the end of the day as you did when you started out. So it's BE for me all the way. I use their entire line, from mascara to lipstick. Nothing touches my face if it's not made by BE.
Light products and natrual colours, (if any atall) a tinted moisturiser gives a light coverage (Benefit does a good one)

Prehaps a light coloured eye shaddow in any colour from a cream, or gold to a light grey

Maybe finnish of with a bit of mascarra!
a face lift... and some wrinkle remover...
I'm 38. I use the Bare Minerals. I really like it.

How do i stop my makeup sliding off my face in the hot weather?

Am at wedding and makeup (in my opinion) never lasts the whole day- even the expensive stuff- its all lies! anyway is there some trick im missing, i get an oily t-zone so that doesnt help- help me you lot!How do i stop my makeup sliding off my face in the hot weather?
You can do several things and a few of them come down to skincare more than makeup. You want to start with a clean face (of course,) a toner and an oil controling moisturizer (like biore perfect oil free shine control. It helps control the oil that your face will produce. Notice that I said HELPS, not prevents. Make sure that you let this dry and absorb into your skin for 5 to 10 min.

Next, you want to use a foundation primer or mattifier. I like MAC prep and prime or sephora primer. It is a clear lotion that you apply over your skin to help control shine and give your face a clean pallet and smooth feel. I find that this goes on best with a clean foundation brush (plus you dont have to worry about transfering oil from your hands to your face.) Let it absorb into your skin another 5 min.

Next, apply an oil free or powder foundation. If you need to apply more for heavier coverage, allow the first layer to dry. Again, use a foundation brush to prevent transfer from oils of your hands to your face. You may say, but my hands are clean, I washed them when i washed my face. Well that was 10-15 min ago, depending on how long it takes your products to dry and absorb AND you have been handeling product bottles lol.

After your foundation is complete, the next step is to set it. I use what i call the double set. I mist my face with a homemade toning mist made of rosewater, aloe, white birch extract, witch hazel, glycerine and grapefruit seed extract that I keep in a spray bottle. I spray about 5 inches from my face and wait for it to dry. Once it dries, I then apply an oil controlling loose powder. Look for products with china (kanolin) clay, rice flower, cornstarch, or silica in the ingredients. More of them (i.e kanolin and sillica) are better than just one (cornstarch.)

Make sure you look for china or kanolin clay when looking for powders as just regular clay can sometimes clog pores.

To help control oil throughout the day, I use my toner spray, followed by a blotting with blotting tissues and then follow with a dusting of powder (if i need it.) I live in Northern California and our standard summers are 110. The regimin i described above keeps me oil free and my make up last as least 10 hrs.

You may also want to add a weekly sea clay mask to help control excess oil. Use it at night for best results. I am including a link below where u can order sea clay (its really cheap) Just mix it with water, apply to face, let dry 10-20 min and then rinse off.How do i stop my makeup sliding off my face in the hot weather?

you can buy t - zone strips from boots superdrug etc. for a reasonable price , you blot your tzone with them throughout the day and they help to soak up any excess moisture thus helping your makeup to stay on longer. You could also try using a makeup primer or base before applying makeup , i would try to avoid oil based liquid foundations and stick to a light easy wearing powder, benefit does a good selection of compacts that you may find work for you.also i find if you have a special occassion to attend moisturise your face the night before and dont apply moisturiser before your makeup the next day. it does work! if you desperately need to use some just use a little , your makeup shud rest on ur face better. as sometimes too much moisturiser can make your face greasy and no amount of makeup will stick to that.
dont wear it!! the make-up will just make ur skin oily-er anyway!!
Always start your make-up routine with a good foundation primer, and finish with loose powder to set the make-up. Good Luck!
If you are at a wedding, sorry to say you'll just have to keep reapplying it- Or you can use powder or waterproof makeup. Try Maybelline waterproof mascara %26amp; Almay's liquid eyeliner (black) for above your top eye lid. You might want to try fake eyelashes too- a little hard to put on, but they will last all night
try oil free moisturiser and foundation.take a powder with u 2 blot the excess moisture off ur face.
In the summer, we tend to perspire more than other times of the year. That and like you mentioned, some oily zones on your face. Do a self facial before applying makeup, so that you are starting with very clean skin. Go with a light powder foundation rather than a liquid. Next apply very light eye makeup. A sheer look is really nice for summer. Go light on the mascara, just a bit is fine.

The key to looking nice in the summer months is that a natural, minimal look is perfectly fine, even for special occasions like weddings and parties.
If you are nice looking then you don't need makeup. Then you don't have a problem in hot weather....
Stick it with a tape or glue , it will never slip of again until you wash it hardly.
You could always give waterproof mascara a try. I'm not sure if there's waterproof eyeshadow... But yeah.

I've tried waterproof mascara, and it works really well. It comes off more easily, but it stops the makeup from sliding and smearing.
you have some good answers, foxy diva should have her own show!

My only tip is to practice wearing as little as possible so there is less to worry about. Afterall a 'dewy/ moist' look is lovely. If you normally wear foundation all over, try just using it where you need it most. Leave as much skin as possible free to breathe. But you will inevitably have to reapply. Mascara can cause a lot of mess if it runs and waterproof still smudges if skin is oily; dying them and then just slicking with a bit of vaseline may look better. Just experiment over a few hot days in advance!
its not the make-up it s how you apply your right, try steaming your face ie, get a bowl poor hot water in it put a towel over you head and bowl just how you would if you were trying to clear a cold, once done this for around 10 minutes exfolite you r face with non abbrasive. apply your make-up, carry with you a spray bottle,(you can get some small handbag sizes) just containing water when your make-up feels like it is sliding off, spray on your face, this brings the make-up back to the surface of your face.
i think that you need to use a good foundation. mine has always worked. i ues the powder foundation. and water proof maskara. i don't know. it works for me, so i don't know if it will work for you.
ok try using a powder foundation instead of a kiquid. In the summer time its really hard to keep foundation on especially if you have oily skin. They have several mousse foundations out now that work really well, my favorite is beyond color mousse by Avon. Another thing to try is a bronzer instead of using foundation. It gives off a pretty glow and a slight tinted color to you skin. I think that looks much better than the foundation look. If you have any questions email me anytime,.
All you need is Mary Kay cosmetics -NR.1 in USA. It's fantastic you will love it, if you are interested in learning more about Mary Kay cosmetics call me on 087 6132530 or you can go on www.marykay.com .I will help you because I'm a independent beauty consultant of Mary Kay cosmetics
well get the powdewr one not the one on the bodle
use an oil free moisuriser 1st and then wait 15min before applying makeup, use an oil free concealor or foundation and then ... and this is the key, use loose powder with a big powder brush and take a compct with you for touch ups or buy some blotting pads, the body shop do really good ones some have tea tree in etc.
MAC has a foundation primer. Get the matte one if your skin is oily.
    use waterproof make up!

  • If i have blonde hair, and blue eyes and a skinny face, what color makeup should i wear?

All my friends look really good in makeup and i don't think i look good at all with eyeliner on. I wear black mascara all the time, but that is about all. I want some pointers! =DIf i have blonde hair, and blue eyes and a skinny face, what color makeup should i wear?
I am blonde with blue-green eyes. Remember that makeup is meant to look like you're not wearing any, only to enhance features.

Just use concealer under eyes and on blemishes, and a liquid-powder to match your skin color. Make sure it's blended good into the hairline and around your jaw.

Now with blue eyes, I like to use lavender eyeshadow with brown eyeliner. Pastels are good with blue eyes, and brown eyeliner definitely helps define them. Do eyeliner and mascara on top lid only, then just do some blush on the apples of your cheeks.

It's your personal preference to use lip color, I rarely use it. I just use chapstick with SPF.If i have blonde hair, and blue eyes and a skinny face, what color makeup should i wear?
try using a black-brown mascara, and maybe a teal eye liner pencil, if your are going to use eye shadow dont use blue of anything too dark because it will just make your face look smaller..also blue shadow with blue eyes just doesnt really work well..if you do use eyeliner make sure you put a fine line and then smudge it..if you like the look on the bottom, then great, but again eye liner on the bottom is going to make your eye look smaller and therefore your face will look smaller, so if you are going to experiment with eyeliner try it just on the top of your eye.
to pop out your eyes you should wear brown colors, since that's the extremely opposite color it will bring out your eyes, try to wear brown black mascara, it will look more natural. try also a rosy color for your blush, and use pretty lip color like hot pinks.
You should go for the sets of eye makeup that say they are made for blue eyes. Alamay has some. Usually they suggest brown, blue, or bronze for eyeshadow. If you are nervous about eyeliner but want to try it, you should try to start with brown.
Trust me,blue eyeshadow will fit you PERFECTLY! I know that from experience.

    HOPE IT HELPED!
maybe try a goldish brownish eyeshadow

and if you dont look good in eyeliner then dont wear it
I have blonde hair and blue eyes and i wear black kohl eyeliner everyday..i think i look sick without it lol

Is it safe to use hairspray on your face to set your makeup?

I only use NATURAL hairspray so it would be 100% natural, is it ok to use on my face to set my makeup? if I sprayed it on a makeup sponge and applied it from there? has anyone ever tried it?Is it safe to use hairspray on your face to set your makeup?
Not only will this clog your pores, but it can really hurt your eyes! They make sprays specifically for setting your makeup. MAC Fix Plus is a good one. Some less expensive ones are made by Lumene (sold at CVS) or there is one by Evian. Is it safe to use hairspray on your face to set your makeup?
yes it is safe, as long as you keep it at an arms length and make sure to close your eyes and mouth, my friends and i do this all the time.
    I wouldn't do that.

Powder should set your makeup. Use a large brush to apply.
No, I would never try that.
I don't think so. It will probably clog your pours.
    no no no no.

    it will clog your pores.

    dry out your skin.

    bad for your eyes.

Make you all sticky and gross looking.

Give you wrinkles when your older.

They make special spray just for makeup. Try MAC.
No don't do that it has been done before i was helping my friend at this drag show and they do that but honestly it doesn't work well and it ruins your skin. why don't you try like a spray on foundation like the one Sally Mae makes instead, that will give you an air brush look if that's what your looking for. or if you want something that last long use something rich in pigments and be a total doll it takes a lot of work to be flawless.
no dont ever do that! it will ruin ur skin. use a primer instead
eww!!! gross that sounds too unnatural
Never heard of anyone doing that before...

but I'm guessing it's probably bad for your skin.

    could cause rashes and stuff...
not a good idea. why would you put hairspray on your face?? they have finishing powders out there, I'd try that before hairspray.
No, it will clog your pores on your face.
Ummm yeah I would never try that. I would think it would clog your pores and dry your skin significantly, and you can welcome the wrinkles when you get older. = )
I have never tried it and i have never heard of anyone doing it

i dont think it would be good for your skin it might clog your pores

How can makeup spoil your face?

What are some ways makeup can spoil your face and what kind of makeup....What are some bad makeups or makeup companies that is bad for your skin? How can makeup spoil your face?
    idk

but u should always wash ur face at night,

to remove all the oil %26amp; dirt from make up.

it can clog ur pores, %26amp; thats how u get acne. How can makeup spoil your face?
    They can clog your pores.
When you wear too much.................most are equal.

The big hype now are the MIneral makeups that cover but are natural so they say.. Anything you put on your face other than sunscreen and moisturizer can't be that great for your skin..

All you are doing is clogging the skin, creating more black heads, and hising your natural beauty... But, if you need to cover a flaw, blemish, etc. then why not??? But you must cleanse it off with soap and water, rehydrate the skin with something that balances out your type of skin......
Less is best, always be sure to clean and moisturize your face prior to putting it on, before bed clean it all off.

Speak with a make-up artist at your local drug store she/he can recommend what is best for your skin type.
well.hmm.. there's only 2 things that i can think of:

1- Acne can occur if you dont wash it off at night or if it has abrasive ingredients.

2- If you tug your face to put on eyeliner, then that could cause premature wrinkles.

    I hope that helped.
The only way it's going to ruin your skin is if your using something that is making you break out, which will be different for every one, or if you aren't properly cleansing and moisturizing your skin every night and morning.
i haven't heard of any specific companies with makeup that is bad for your skin. I do know that if you are having breakout problems with foundation its probably because you are applying it with your hands and rubbing sweat and other bacteria into your skin. So i recommend using a pad to apply foundation.
    makeup in general is bad.

    it will age your face.
    1) Clogs up your pores; when you put it on, (if your using powder) and it makes them look bigger.

    2) You should explore for yourself; different people have different skin types.
never sleep with makeup on. it causes acne and produces oil.

thick foundations can make your face look pastey, so just be careful of your color choice.

maybelline dream matte products go on very smoothly and look good! just be sure to wash them off.
it opens up your pores or something.

but its not a myth, i should know
Make up wont spoil your skin. As long as you know that you should use a make up remover before you go to bed!!!:))
Make up clogs your pores. It is important to wash your face before you go to bed. Some people have very sensitive skin and are prone to break outs if they use some makeup. It's the ingredients that cause. I have oily skin and can't use just any makeup. My skin gets red and I get pimples. I stay away from mineral oil in makeup products. It's nothing to be afraid of. You just need to be aware of it so if you see it happening then you know it's time to stop using this product and try another product that doesn't have those ingredients.

Some people can wear just about anything and it doesn't bother them.

What is the best way to remove makeup with harming your face?

I wear a good amount of makeup, and I take it off by washing my face and using a q-tip to remove the eyeliner on my lower eyelid. But it kind of wrinkles my undereye. I just want a good, effective, and quick way to remove my makeup without using anything harmful. What is the best way to remove makeup with harming your face?
Close your eyes, and wash your face with lathered soap. Rinse with water ;)What is the best way to remove makeup with harming your face?
If you wear a lot of make-up it's pretty essential that you invest in a good make-up remover, it will literally melt the make-up away (even waterproof) without the need for coarse rubbing, that's what does the damage. There's loads to choose from but get a half decent one.
I usually wash it off with Olay daily facials. Then if there's any left over I dot some regular moisturizer underneath or on top of my eye and gently rub off the residue with a piece of kleenex or toilet paper. It works really well and it gently glides the makeup off so you don't get wrinkles.
there is a thing called cold cream that takes off all the makeup easily and you dont have to scrub and try really hard. It moisturizes and helps your skin too. You can buy it at drug stores and walmart and lots of places. This is a site to show you what it looks like. http://www.drugstore.com/qxp71119_333181鈥?/a>

I get some face lotion, put it on a cotton ball or something but if you put it to close to your eyes it can burn a bit.
use an oil-free make-up remover. try neutrogena's - they have it at the pharmacy for $5.
don't use soap buy this stuff called

rimmel London takes of water prof

    mascara but it works 4everything
For face makeup use a washcloth with water and for eye makeup use a Q-tip but put lotion on the tip. This works very well!
If u don't want to harm ur face, don't wear make-up! Or at least not everyday.
    water. duh!
    get make up cleaner

How to remove makeup without damaging the face?

I think I have a problem with the application %26amp; removal of eye makeup particularly. I lose lashes even after applying eyeliner or eye pencil, then when I remove it. It also makes my lids itchy which makes te matter worse. Any suggestions ?How to remove makeup without damaging the face?
Use a safe make up remover such as a non drying gentle cleanser [see the link below] and you shouldn't have any problems :) Don't put too much on a cotton pad and never remove make up with washcloths or towels. They can irritate sensitive skin and can cause sty's.How to remove makeup without damaging the face?
well, u should take a wet cloth, and gently remove the makeup, i would suggest buyin, neutrogena make up remover that works good and doesnt damage face!!
you can gently rub vasaline on your eyelashes and wipe if off with a kleenex or toilet paper....or do the same thing with makeup remover!
There are these small strips where you can rub it on your face and make-up comes up and it won't harm or mess up your face. Try going to Mac, for spray, Target, K-Mart, any place like Walmart too.
baby sampoo...its tear free anbd gentle, but tkes it all off
1st wash d face wid a water den use a large amount of cleansing milk n remove it wid a cotten.den again use cleansing milk little bit n remove it wid a face wash
smooth on castor oil and wipe off with a warm washcloth. won't hurt eyes and actually draws dirt from the pores to the surface. leaves skin smooth and NOT oily.
Use vaneline apply it to your lid of your eye and use paper towel or cloth to wipe it off.. it should wipe the make up too
You should throw away your current eye make-up and buy new stuff, preferably a different brand made for sensitive skin. It might be infected with a fungus or bacteria. Also, you might be pulling too hard on your eyelids when you apply the make-up. You could have an infection since you said it's itchy. Make sure you're applying the eyeliner on the OUTER part of the eyelashes, above and below your eyelashes, not on the INNER part of them. Some people do it that way, but it just gets all the make-up in your eyes that way. Buy Clinique or some other good brand of eye make-up remover and use cotton balls to remove it. Don't use waterproof mascara, it will be 10 times harder to remove that way. If it doesn't help, then stop using the make-up till your eyes clear up. No make-up is worth harming your health!
use a makeup remover instead of a washcloth..its a lot gentler.
i've had a lot of trouble with this as well. but i found something that really works for me.

i use POND';S clean sweep cleansing %26amp; make-up removing towelettes. they come in a blue and white package of 30 towelettes. it removes make-up really well, and doesn't harm your skin.

    hope this helps!!
did you try eye makeup remover? If you apply it gently and just rinse it off your lahes shouldn't come out.

  • How to make face appear thinner with makeup?

I have chubby cheeks and losing weight doesnt help cuz I have naturally chubby cheeks. My face is also quite a round shape and I dont have gr8 cheekbones. How do I contour my face to make it appear more shapely and defined?

ThnxHow to make face appear thinner with makeup?
Okay so what you need to do is contour

this can be kinda hard, but there are simpler ways

    okay

    so start with foundation

then get the perfect blush and apply this t the apples of your cheeks. then take a bronzer which is a good darker brown, preferbly with a shimmer, and apply this underneath the blush in a line, you can also apply it in a shape of 3 aroud the side of your face

and voila! How to make face appear thinner with makeup?
I'd say the biggest factor in making your face appear thinner is most definitely without question, blush. If you sweep it up and diagonally towards the eyes, you can't miss. It will give you the appearance of more hollow cheekbones, therefore making the face appear thinner.
you can use any pressed powder or brown eyeshadow thats a shade darker than your skin and apply it under your cheekbones and along your jawline. take a hilighter color, or pressed powder thats lighter than your skin and apply it on the top part of your cheeks (above wher eyour blush would be) and down the top of your nose. blend well and tadaaaa!
contour ur face by applying dark brown blush under cheekbones and under chin. make sure u blend properly. u can also contour ur nose along the sides of the nose. furthermore, use a light shimmery highlighting blush on cheeks and on nose, it will make ur cheekbones stand out even more and make ur face look slimmer.
Use bronzer to define your face. Suck in your cheeks and in a sweeping motion, apply bronzer from the crevice to your side burns.

You can also add some blush to the apples of your cheeks to define even further.
Put blush on the apples of your cheeks and bronzer right below that. To contour your nose you can put a light powder down the center of it; and bronzer on the sides. Hope this helps :)
USE BRONZER!! with out the sparkely bits you can create natural looking shadows on your face so that it looks thinner!

try putting it on your cheek bones to emphasise them or below them to make a shadow xx

Whats good makeup for making my face look softer?

I have an angular face and I'm afraid it makes me look too masculine. I want to have a softer look. What are some good makeup tips for this? Any particular kind of foundation give more of a softness than other kinds?Whats good makeup for making my face look softer?
Makeup isn't gonna help your particular situation, but a different hair style will. Talk to an experienced hairdresser. They were trained for exactly this purpose. They'll be able to clue you in on hairstyles for your shape of face.Whats good makeup for making my face look softer?
Blending your blush slightly below your cheekbones will make cheekbones less angular. However, I think high cheeckbones are very attractive. Brown eyeshadow on your lids and brown eyeliner rather than black will look less harsh. Make sure your eyeliner doesn't go all around your eyes and be sure to blend the eyeliner so it doesn't look harsh. Neutral, glossy lips that are just a shade darker than your natural lip color will also help.

Is it good for your face to not wear makeup for a day?

    I wear makeup everyday!

Except Sundays, Sunday's are my lounging days and I don't wear makeup, nor fix my hair.

Is that good for my face?

And my hair?Is it good for your face to not wear makeup for a day?
I would think it's a great idea both for your skin and hair, as long as it's clean, otherwise acne causing stuff will just sit there and cause problems. Still wash it at night even if you haven't worn makeup. Is it good for your face to not wear makeup for a day?
it cant hurt, but definitely wash your makeup off everynight and for your hair, id say wash it everyfay, but everyones hair is different. mine is thicker than most peoples hair, but thats bc its curly and i dont shampoo every day bc it dries my hair out and i use condition every time. instead, once a week i do deep treatment where i get out of the shower and put a ton of conditioner in my hair and keep it warm in a towel to retain the moisture then wash it out an hour later. im a hairstylist and different things work for different hair types, but id say give it a try :) and on sundays, take some time to yourself to give your face long treatments! cleanse, use toner, scrub, then mask and moisturize!! its the best!
What i usually do is go without makeup whenever i don't have school and on the weekends that way my skin doesn't have all the oils from the makeup all the time and has a little time to breath.
of course. make up can give you break outs especially if it's too oily. it's good to let it breathe for a while. and giving ur hair a break from heat and chemicals is definately good too.
Get Bare Escentuals make up. It's all natural made from minerals, oil free and lets your skin breathe. It's like a healthy make up.
Yeah, I don't wear makeup all week until I go out on weekends.
yeah it lets ur hair and face relax along with urself!
yes. it gives your skin a chance to breathe

What is a good face wash to remove makeup?

I have been using Olay makeup remover, but my face is breaking out!! =\ What is a good face wash to remove makeup?
Try using dove beauty bar (the unscented one). Get a facecloth wet with very warm water. Place the bar inside the face cloth, and very gently rub the face in small circles. Once it starts to lather, remove the bar and continue to very gently rub the face. Rinse the face, and then use a mild toner (not a strong astringent one).

Use an eye makeup remover for eye areas - that part is too sensitive for face cloths.

When you are done, use a light moisturizer to replace the oils that you removed. What is a good face wash to remove makeup?
I always have used the original noxema that comes in a blue round container (not squeezable). I use that daily, it might dry out your skin the first few times you use it. But it never fails me.

I also use the apricot scrub at least twice a week.

It is good to use the apricot one if you have wore make up for a very long period of time, without having time to freshen up.

They are both inexpensive and will last you at least 3 months.

Try Ponds cleansing cream or cleansing milk, or if you prefer, facial wash. Look for one for sensitive skins and fragrance free.
I use baby wipes to remove makeup and then just wash my face with whatever cleanser I'm using.
Try Clean and Clear, or Neutrogena.

I'd use dark brown eye liner on your top lid %26amp; underneath your bottom lashes. %26amp; the eye shadow if you want it, in blues w/a rose too. If you'd like to go with the navy eye liner, that's going to go good too.

Try to wear your clothes that bring our your eye color too, like wearing that color of blues. Good luck x

i like sephora or brands sold by sephora.. if u know any good brands that are good for reducing redness in ur face let me know!I kind of get red in the face what kind of makeup helps reduce redness?
bare mineralsI kind of get red in the face what kind of makeup helps reduce redness?
Whatever makeup or conceler you choose to use... use one that is slightly green based... or choose a green concealer for red spots, such as zits. Red is straight across from green on the color wheel so the colors can cancel eachother out.
Id go with a powdered foundation with plenty minerals
Bare minerals works for me, but it doesn't really cover everything.

This stuff evens out my skintone, I blush naturally and my face gets really pink!

get a yellowish concealer...stay away from green
If you want quick, easy and amazing coverage- Aveda dual base is great! It is a powder foundation and covers any flaw easily.
What you need is a green concealer. When I was at the Sephora store, they showed me a liquid product from Makeup Forever that you put on under your foundation. I also have a trial size of a Eucerin redness reducing concealer, you can get that at Walgreens. But the one i use, and that I like best, is a powder from Larenim http://www.larenim.com called Hocus Pocus. It's a green powder that you use before you use your powder foundation color. IMHO, the Bare Escentuals products make you look warmer and redder in general, this is great for cancer patiens and heart patients, but those of us who want to look pale and not red need something else. BE also makes you look ';sparkly'; which some people might like, but I don't. I really like Larenim, check it out. Their pale foundation colors are also fab.
Physician's Formaula has a green pressed powder cake that is supposed to cover that up just fine. I read a review and one warned against used fluffy face brushed since it didn't work well with this product. Probably too much green.

What is the best makeup and face wash for me?

Well staring off as i have an oily face, I rarely break out and when i do its on my chin and takes awhile to go away. On top of that i have these red blotches on my cheeks that are really annoying. I try to hide. When I put my makeup on it looks chunky and is visible. I haven't found a good make up. Also a couple of hours later my make up is smudged. Ahh

    Please Help Me.

I need a good face wash for me and great makeup to cover over my red cheeks but still look natural. :( HelpppppppppWhat is the best makeup and face wash for me?
    i have a very oily complexion and my face is acne prone, its not severe or anything i just break out now and then %26gt;,%26lt;

and my skin care do varies, and i like to use different product and see if i can find a good cleanser that works best for my face, so far i haven't, right now ii've been using noxzema citrus srcub, and its okay it works, but it isn't great, so try using different cleanser that works best for you, and make sure its oil-free and has salicylic acid.

salicylic acid is better for people with oily skin, its more gentle to your skin, and i suggest you trying out mineral makeup, i use everyday minerals and i absolutly love it! it works magic it doesnt cake or anything, and minerals doesnt clog your pores and allows your skin to breathe. if you want to try everydayminerals you can go to there websit and order there free sample kit(you pay shipping) they let you choose form 3 foundations ,1 concealer, 1 blush, and do remeber that they let you choose from 3 foundations for a reason, its so you can choose one that matches your skin tone (: everyday minerals have a mint concealer that works wonders, and i recommend you getting that since you have redness on your cheeks (:

hope this helps (:What is the best makeup and face wash for me?
try a mineral makeup, it wont smudge. My cousin uses loreal mineral makeup (bare natural i think) and her face looks really matte and clear.

oily and red, huh? Use a gentle oil free soap (made by neutrogina.) but leave your face alone as far as that goes. when you get a zit put neutrogina rapid clear spot gel on it. or clinique spot gel works better but costs more.

    good luck!!

Can some one make me an outfit for this face makeup?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WrBPI8-kegCan some one make me an outfit for this face makeup?
It really depends on your style. I would go for a patterned maxi dress with some pink in it. Anything bold and floaty would look fantastic and really make this look very feminine and girly!

If you are more feisty I would go for a simple pair of jeans and a boobtube! These eyes would also look great with the right earrings!

Dont spend too much time worrying about the outfit just try the eyeshadow look and you will have heads turning anyway!

I totally understand how you feel!! I was like that and I landed on these:

Jane Blushing Cheeks AND Jane Shimmering Powder :D !!! Both together is less than $10 and works MAGIC!Affordable makeup face bronzer and blush?
    sephora sundisks

it is absolutely HUGE! and it costs under 20 bucks
    Cover Girl for sure.

They have a large selection of blush and bronzers to choose from. Each are $4-5 CDN.

They may look small but actually contain a lot of product. A little defiantly goes a long way with their blushes and bronzers.

They are available at Wal-Mart, Zellers and Shoppers Drug Mart (if your Canadian), pretty much any drugstore!

    Good luck!
