How to apply powder makeup to face?

I use a mineral powder on my face but by the end of the day it always ends up looking uneven and blotchy. My skin isn't dry so I don't know what could be causing this..Any ideas??/Suggestions on how to prevent it?How to apply powder makeup to face?
If you just apply the powder on with out a primer or a moisturizer that is why it looks blotchy and uneven. My all time favorite primer is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. When you apply it on it makes your skin smooth and it doesn't clog your pores at all. So when you apply your powder foundation tap any loose foundation so you dont get the feeling you have makeup on. Alot of people usually apply it on wrong. So this is how you properly apply it on

Step 1. Cleanse and tone your skin

A foundation should always be applied on a clean and toned face. Use a mild cleanser appropriate for your skin and cleanse your face thoroughly to remove all the impurities and oils that have accumulated during the night. Tone your skin with a toner that suits your skin.

Step 2. Apply moisturizer

The first step when applying makeup is the application of appropriate moisturizer according to your skin type. It will improve your skin quality and act as a protective layer to help trap the moisture in the skin and stop it from evaporation. It will eliminate any dry patches and will allow you to achieve a more even coverage. Apply the moisturizer and let it soak in at least 3 minutes before applying foundation.

Step 3. Apply a concealer

Apply a concealer to hide any imperfections. To hide pimples or spots, use thick concealer that matches your skin tone. Apply it using a small makeup brush directly on the spot and blend slightly till it disappears.

Step 4. Start the application

A powder foundation should always be applied with a makeup sponge or with a foundation brush, but never use your fingertips to apply it. If you want to achieve more coverage you should use a brush although a makeup sponge is also a great way to apply powder foundation.

Wipe the sponge onto the foundation and apply it over the entire face or only to any problem areas, usually the T-zone (nose, chin and forehead).

When using a brush to apply the powder foundation, swirl the brush to pick up the foundation. Tap the excess powder and brush onto your face with gentle, circular motions. Always apply the foundation in downward motions. S

Step 5. Blend the foundation carefully

It胁袀鈩 essential to blend the foundation carefully, especially if you apply a powder foundation. Start blending at your forehead and slowly spread all over your face. Move in circular motions, ensuring there are no patches and hard lines. Make sure the foundation suits your skin tone.

There is no need to set the foundation with a powder, otherwise your face may look too caked and unnatural.

Do the rest of your makeup as usual. How to apply powder makeup to face?
You can't just apply powder to your face, you have to use a moisturizer first.

Apply the moisturizer evently to your face and neck

If you use foundation then pour a little out- get a brush- yes a brush and dab it into the foundation then in small round circles apply the foundation all over your face and neck.

THen use another brush and dab it into your powder lightly, brush this all over your face and neck as well.

If you use foundation you need to use the powder to set the foundation.

If you DO NOT use foundation...just moisturize your face and then use a big fat brush and dab it into the powder then put it on your face in a circular motion. Start at your forhead and work your way down one side of your face then the other.

Also try changing the brand of powder or the colour...ask a beatician to match the powder to your skin
Wash face with clean and clear facial cleanser, moisturize with light cream and blot face with sheet of tissue paper to remove the excess globs of cream. Brush powder with fat makeup brush all over and then blot again with tissue to get excess powder off face. Apply rest of makeup and then go over face with a bronzer and voila.. you have clean and fresh glowing face
You should use a lotion first. This will help moisturize your skin. Another thing that could be causing this is you're not using a foundation primer. I suggest Smashbox PhotoFinish Primer. It works wonders, trust me! Do that and apply with a good brush and you should be fine.
I moisturize with Oil of Olay Complete to your face and to your neck, and let it set.

Then apply a face primer ~ your skin will feel so soft ~ let it set a minute and then apply your Mineral Makeup. This helps your makeup last longer.
Apply it using a big fluffy brush

You may be applying the brush to heavy so dip the brush into the powder and then lightly shake it so there isn't a too thick coat of powder of the brush

Then brush it all over your face

Well Bare Minerals makes a product called Prime Time. It's applied very thinly across the whole face and basically gives you an even surface to work with. It also helps to hold the powder. Good Luck!
Moisturise first and make sure you use a brush not a pad, brushes ensure even coverage and a more natural look.
wash ur face first and then put the powder on.
yea what she saiD^^
