I found inexpensive ELF products for only a dollar each (facial products, like concealer and pressed powder), and even though the reviews on the products are good, the ingredients are questionable. They have cetyl alcohol and wax... But, I have a dermatologist recommended Neutrogena product. So if I wear Neutrogena under ELF, will I be OK? Or should I get something other than ELF? Thanks! Is it OK to wear cheap face makeup, as long as I have a high-quality moisturizer underneath it?
Just because ELF products are cheap, it doesn't mean that they're necessarily bad for your skin. However, with some people, it DOES cause them to break out in spots. A good moisturiser can help somewhat, but perhaps you should consider other highstreet products (Rimmel, Maybelline, GOSH) if you find that ELF products cause you to break out. Moisturiser sinks into the skin and keeps it supple and smooth, but it doesn't protect the skin from harmful ingredients in face products (even good moisturisers!). Hope this helped :) xIs it OK to wear cheap face makeup, as long as I have a high-quality moisturizer underneath it?
No, it is not okay. Cheap makeup could cause severe consequences. All of these products that you apply to your face some how get absorbed into your skin and it is better to use more decent products that ELF. My recommendation is to use products like L'Oreal or Revlon. They are inexpensive and good in quality.
I would not recommend cheap products. When I first started wearing make at age 15 I wore used cheap products with good face cream after about 1 month I started having horriable acne!! NOw I only use good stuff. DO NOT use any cheap crap on your face.
Elf seriously is a good brand, it's cheap but it's good.
And no the moisturizer won't help, but a primer may.
