I always buy new face makeup that matches my skin at the store, but when I go outside my face looks totally orange compared to my neck/body.
I'm Asian, so maybe I need something with a yellow undertone-any suggestions?
How can I make sure that my makeup matches my face when I'm outside in the sunlight?
Thanks =)How do I find face makeup that matches my face?
Visit different makeup counters, and get samples to try before you buy. I'd recommend MAC because they have the largest selection of shades/undertones. You can also try Shisheido which is supposed to work well for Asian skin tone. The lighting inside the store is terrible and you cannot really see what the makeup looks like. Also, you can return the makeup if it doesn't work for you.How do I find face makeup that matches my face?
Haha I do that all the time. Buy make-up and think it matches but it doesn't. I don't know if you do this or not but you can like open some of the foundation bottles (the ones that only twist) and put it on your face. and look in the mirror. Don't put it on your entire face just part and then do with others. Then you'll find the one that matches.
I work as a beauty adviser and we always let our customers try the product before they leave the store.. you would more then likely need a yellowish undertone.. soooo.. if your going for drug store makeup most of covergirl's make up has a yellowish undertone.. just go to the cosmetics counter and ask the lady to help you pick out the perfect shade for your skin.. they'll test several different shades until you find something that you love! good luck ;)
