like all aspects? concealer through bronzer. I have larger pores, and somewhat oily skin. and a slight acne problem. how can i go about applying makeup in a really cute beautiful way.What is a really good way to apply face makeup?
I am a make-up artist and this is one of the main question.
The system of applying makeup for a natural look is fast and easy when you get the hang of it.
Steps:
1. Understand that a 'natural' look is one that uses colors that are right for your skin tone. How much you use, and where, depends on your personal style.
2. Make sure your concealer is yellow in tone since it mutes imperfections without adding color, giving your skin a natural look.
3. Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. The right foundation will seem to disappear on your face. If you are African-American, it's a good idea to have light, medium and dark shades of your foundation to allow for different gradations of color on different parts of your face.
4. Apply eye makeup in earthy tones'beige, brown, gold or plum for shadows and brown and charcoal gray for liner and mascara. Skip liner or shadow entirely if you want to keep makeup light.
5. Choose a blush color that is close to the color of your cheeks after you've exercised.
Tips:
Remember to clean and moisturize your face first.
Choose brighter or darker tones for a stronger, more made-up look.
Intensify your natural makeup for evening. Instead of brown, for example, go for charcoal around the eyes. 'Pop' blush with a brighter color over your usual one. Make lips brighter, darker or more shimmery.
I hope that helps.What is a really good way to apply face makeup?
You should Bare Minerals powder foundation or some other powder mineral foundation. It doesn't clog pores and won't aggravate your acne. Hopefully you have a Sephora nearby; go in and they will help you pick a color and a foundation that is right for you and they will even show you haw to apply it.
pat concealer on with fingers. Dont rub, u will wipe it away. Pat lightly, then do foundation, blended well into your jaw line. Just dot lightly on and blend with either fingers, a foundation brush or a sponge. U will know u have blended it right if it looks samless and flawless from all angles in a natural light. If u use a cream, liquid or mousse bronzer/blush then apply it before powder. Juts pat a little onto the apples of your cheeks and blend, building the colour up a little at a time. Take a big fluffy brush and dust powder in all oily bits and use it to tone down your blush/bronze. If u use powder blush/ bronze, apply after powder with a big brush, smile and apply in the puffy part of your cheeks, building the colour up a little at a time. Powder again lightly, to tone down colour and prevent it from sliding right off.
Finish with clear gloss and mascara. You will look great.
Hope I helped,
xx
Use oil free concealer...no foundation. And then apply a powder to the rest of your face. Always wash your face before you apply makeup. You don't need to use a chemical or a product before concealer/powder...just soap and warm water. I never use bronzer so i can't help u there. The reason i recommend concealer instead of foundation is because foundation always has oil in it..even if it says oil free, so will concealer. But with concealer, you can cover only the parts you want without it looking like $hit, and less product means less oil. then the powder will take care of the rest.
Hope it Helps!!
Liquid foundation (cover up): get a triangle foam applicator and pour a little bit of the cover up onto the applicator. Then dab onto your forehead, cheeks and chin. Blend evenly (and make sure there are no visible lines showing your skin and the cover up) and don't forget to put it on your nose too!
tip: on cheeks blend downwards toward chin to make those tiny little hairs on your face less visible. NEVER UPWARDS!
Powder foundation (cover up): take the applicator it comes with (if it doesn't come with one, that's weird, but they are, most of the time, a circle pad, or you can just use the triangle foam pad from the foundation. Just use the flat square end.) Take the pad and rub it in the powder in a circle then apply like liquid foundation. (You'll need to keep rubbing it in the powder for each area, so one for the forehead, one for left cheek, and right and one for the chin and nose, since those areas aren't that big just use them together.)
Concealer: Take a concealer brush, rub some concealer on it, then apply to your blemish!
Bronzer: You will need a large brush, and i mean LARGE. (About a little smaller than a floppy disk.) Run it around in circles in the bronzer, tap it on the edge of the container, smile you're biggest smile, and the circles your cheeks made under your eyes, apply there then drag it in a straight line to the edge of your face where your face meets your hair line.
Then blend in with your skin, and repeat on the other side.
When you're done doing your cheeks, you can, if you want, use the little leftovers on the brush and swipe it over your forehead and chin. I don't do this but some do.
tip: Be sure to find the right foundation for your skin, and the right tone. Covergirl has a good selection.

Clarins cosmetics sells Instant Touch Perfecting Cream, it's a makeup base, oil free, and it fills in and smooths out everything which needs to be and makeup glides right on. It's $27.50 and the name speaks for itself, go to check it out, the counter might even have a sample or they will sit you down for a demo. Good luck.
First, there is a product that my dermatologist recommended
for me that is for oily skin. You can ask the phamacist for it and will not be required to have a prescription for it. It is called Aquaglycolic lotion and I always used the body lotion because it was not so thick and it is very reasonably priced. The phamacist may have to order it and you may need to wait a week for it. You should ask for a sample and see if you will like it. You could use it under your makeup or at night or both.
I would recommend an oily free makeup base and also apply a light covering of powder. That would help control the oil in your skin. You may need to carry facial powder with you to help get rid of some of the oil during the day.. A stick concealer would work better because it is thicker and would stay in place. Not one with oil in it. Use a powder blush to help set the final stage for your skin. There are many products out their for you to chose. Youi can ask someone in a drugstore or better yet go to a derematologist or maybe you want to experiment. As long as you read the label and stay away from oil then it should be fine.
Oh, yes, make sure you wash your face every night before going to bed and also wash again every morning.
k, first of all, put on this mask 2 help with the oily skin. u need..........
*1 ripe bannana
*lemon juice
*1 tbs honey
mix and mash ingredients. apply 2 face and leave on 4 15-20 min. rinse with warm water.
use some face cream on spots on ur face that r 2 dry
MAKE-UP
start with;
oil free, non-pore clogging powder. cover up all of ur shiney spots. then, use some concealor 2 cover up any left over pimples
eyes;
for eyeshadow, it depends on the color of ur eyes. if u have a darker color, use a light brown that blends in2 a dark brown. if u have lighter colored eyes (like blue), then use just a plain old light brown color. for both light and dark eyes, put a lil bit of white eyeshadow right under ur brow 2 make ur eyes pop.
4 eyeliner, if u want 2 look more formal, use black eyeliner. if u want ur eyes 2 pop, either use white or a darker purple. the purple is less intense than the black, but yet it's fun, and it is SOOOOOOOO the new color. use curling maskara if u use any, that way u can c ur lashes a lil better.
lips;
use either clear or light pink gloss. otherwise u can end up lookin like a clown. + natural is always better
OTHER TIPS;
b sure 2 blend everythin so that it doesn't end up lookin cheesy. including powder; blend it on2 ur neck; it will make it match better 4 some reason
also, at night, about 30-45 min b4 u go 2 bed, put toothpaste on ur pimples. b sure it's dry b4 u go 2 bed!!!!!!!!! (u don't want toothpaste on ur pillow, do u? well, i guess it might taste kinda good.......) in the mornin, wash it of with some warm water, and then go 2 some oily skin face wash. then use toner. then some cream on the dry spots. i think u no the rest. (hint: look at the make-up tips. lol)
2 MAKE UR FACE GLOW;
put bronzer around ur hairline and on the bridge of ur nose. b sure 2 blend well. (u will no if u blend well by lookin in the mirror at different angles and in different places in the light)
I had the exact same problem as yourself. First thing you need to do is start with a clean slate. Try Neutrogena Cleanser %26amp; Mask which contains Salicylic Acid 2% paired off with a facial buffer, for sensitive skin, to clean %26amp; exfoliate skin, protecting from acne, thereby prepping it for makeup.
To alternate, you can use Clean %26amp; Clear Persa-Gel 10% Benzoyl Peroxide for the bad acne days, and the Clean %26amp; Clear On The Spot Acne Treatment with Salicylic Acid 2% for lighter days. They are portable, so you can keep them with you in your bag.
I suggest Blotting Tissue by Clean %26amp; Clear or Covergirl. You can keep it in your bag for touch-ups, wiping excess oil with out disturbing makeup.
Apply a light moisturizer, such as Avon Biofirming 24 Hour, to keep skin moisturized while not clogging pores.
You can also use the Biore line to tighten pores, it works great.
Always choose makeup that says non-comedegenic, which won't clog pores, thus causing the acne. Use a wedge sponge, never fingers as this will cause bacteria on your face to build up,clog pores %26amp; cause acne.
Apply foundation first, (I suggest Loreal True Match), its great for the skin %26amp; matches very well. Plus they have an entire, line, including bronzer, so you can't go wrong.
After foundation, apply concealer, just a dab %26amp; blend with sponge.
Since your skin is oily I suggest Loreal Decrease for the eyelids before shadow. It keep eyeshadow put during most of the day %26amp; night.
I suggest Covergirl, Loreal, Avon, or Maxfactor for eyeshadow, because of the texture, it will adhere better to the eyebase, thus giving a longer look.
I suggest waterproof mascara. It tends to coat eyelashes better %26amp; lasts longer!^-^
I suggest Styli-Style eyeliner because its waterproof, plus it's a fat pencil, so u can create any look u want, from bold to subtle.
I suggest bronzer such as Physicians Formula or Victoriaas Secret. Can't go wrong with a bronzer! I suggest this instead of traditional blush since it creates a more natural look, Choose the best shade at your discretion depending on your skintone. If you're not sure go with the medium shade.
I suggest waterproof lipliner such as Styli-Style lipliner. Keeps lipstick put and goes on flawlessly. Always go for a neutral shade. You can also try a darker lipliner for the darker lipstick shades.
I suggest Covergirl %26amp; Loreal for lipstick shades. Although most of them are of pretty good quality, depending on your budget.
If you like department store brands, you can also follow same regimen, just implement your favs into the routine.
Hope this info helps,%26amp; good luck to you. ^-^
Under no circumstances should you use an oil free moisturiser, contrary to popular belief, this will dry out your skin and make you look flaky. Use a coconut oil as a moisturiser, then use an age defying concealer, they are gentler and more forgiving. Spots, i would use Burt's bees concealer with a concealer brush and i tiny bit of coconut oil mixed with the concealer. Then bronzer should be applied sparingly to the forehead, the cheeks and a tiny bit to the nose. It should be applied to wherever the sun naturally hits your face. Do not do pink, red or brown lips. Do a nude lip if you have acne, a concealer on the lip with a chap stick over looks really nice. I would try a really light brown for eyeliner because black with emphasise pore and acne problems. I went through acutane and have tried every style of makeup through the acne. Trust me this will work. The coconut oil cleared up my face immensely.
